Again, read above. If everyone trusted some kid that joined a week ago with 50 posts, lets just say a tonne more scams would occur. Also, no mod "believes them" without sufficient proof.

Come on man why bother trying to get your post count up with such pointless threads? We all know you're just one of those people who come here, scam, get banned, ban evade. I get so sick of newcomers that will pretend like they got scammed and then force everyone to go first to them, it simply will NOT happen live with it. Do you want to gain trust? Sell/Buy from trusted gold sellers. I've saved all our chat logs but yet I can't be bothered to make a scam report on you since I'm giving you another chance, use it well.

 

Think about practicality.. this is probably the most fair it's gonna get.

 

Simple, If you wanna trade and be taken seriously, put some effort into the site and your account. You can't just show up and expect people to trust you. Just like you wouldn't trust some random person who messages you on MSN.

 

Force them to go first to prove you're legit - that's what I did for my first trade(s). And I don't know you so I don't know how you act, but if you act like an idiot (not saying you do) nobody will trust you. Address things professionally and trust will slowly come - one trade at a time.

You really can't expect someone to go first to you when you're new, but if you're as legit as you are, eventually people will go first to you.

 

If you were in a position where you had to go first, would you rather go first to someone who is new or someone who has vouches and has been here for awhile? We don't assume you're a scammer.. you just have to prove yourself like the rest of us have.

 

I'd actually be more willing to trust a newcomer who doesn't mind going first to someone who is a bit more trusted.

Imo, that ^ shows that you're more willing to get everything done well. A newcomer is more likely to have a thought like "If I scam or something, than I have nothing to lose, haha", seeing as they would pretty much have no reputation or anything 'on the line' from doing something bad.

It is especially suspicious if they won't even go first to a staff member.

It's not the fact that newcomers are more likely to scam, that wouldn't at all be the case if most of them were REALLY newcomers. It's because when scammers get banned or even IP banned, they don't just give up. They evade their bans and create new accounts, but most are too lazy to build a reputation for themselves.

 

like everyone has said, yes, its more common for newcomers to scam more than guru's or another higher rank. I'm a newcomer and I don't except to be trusted.

On the other hand, everyone else started out with 0 posts. Its just how life is.

 

First, If you consider that cyber bullying you've got a lot ahead of you in life.

A newcomer is not a book, and even if you want to mis use that quote, it simply does not work in real life.

You see a man with scratches everywhere, ragged clothes, holes in his pants and wearing 1 shoe.

He's homeless.

You see a man with a nice suit, a briefcase, a nice watch and everything looking smart.

He's successful.


Applying that quote elsewhere other than a book is stupid. A book is not a human, the simple fact is we DO judge humans and that will never stop.


As for your problem, use an MM/OMM. Whenever you deny someones trade, then they'll probably think your a scammer or what not simply by retaliation. So what? Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and move on.

 

You just joined, what do you expect? Everyone starts off somewhere.

 

yeah you judge a book by its contents, and in your metaphorical book you have a single blank page, without any history of trades or vouches

 

Just use middle men, they don't cost an arm and a leg and if you do it until you get good vouches + rep, you'll be able to not use one and still be trusted
