Ok, so this has happened twice today. Im not clicking on any outside links.
I click on a thread on sythe and a pop up comes saying that the site is trying to download something. and i click block on my security. but it still comes cause then i quickly scan my computer and a trojan shows up.

    so whats going on?
not clicking any outside links. just on sythe.

Which thread were you clicking on? This sounds highly unlikely.

I have a feeling the site may be compromised as of some means because my payed anti-virus goes nuts when I come here. Also upon browsing Sythe my browser will open up weird links like a browser hi-jacker would, but mostly when I'm on Sythe.

I don't believe it would be a trojan. A trojan is simply an umbrella term. Specifically the problem could be addware, or perhaps your pop-up blocker is disabled/not doing it's job.

What browser do you use? Firefox/Seamonkey seem to be the 2 best I've used.
You won't get pop-ups if you use links but that's a text only browser :p

It can't hurt to do a virus scan in the meantime.

Never had any problems on Sythe, but if embedding is enabled on a thread watch out for Java Drivebys.

Don't think so, just upgrade all virus software and get Firefox for safe browsing.

Sythe does nothing to me at all :D
