Iron bolts for making money & smith xp ?

wondering if anyone has tried this, while doing some research in relations to the cheapest way to level my smithing i came upon the following

iron bars = 206gp
iron bolts = 39gp

now based on the fact i would use a bot to gather my feathers i wont factor the cost of them in (10gp per) you get 10 bolts per bar so we have

39 x 10 = 390

furthermore

390 - 206 = 184

so this would mean that there is a profit of 184 GP per bar that you do... Admittedly there is more work in getting them ready i.e. feathering but again that can be automated and you will also get fletching xp.

I suppose the big question is do iron bolts sell reasonably well ??? There are some others that would generate better xp per but with a substantial loss rather than gain.

any other ideas as to a better way for me to get my smithing xp at level 57 while not spending much on it, or possibly autoing to mine the ores

Rings of Forging, make iron bars, it's profit because you can make 150 perfect bars per ring. The rings are like 2k each or less, ores are like 100gp and bars are about 200gp, 100gp profit per bar that actually sells.

 

nice stuff would be a good idea but when making bars it goes slowly

 

What about botting gold ores, then smith those with gauntlets, dunno the name, u get those from family crest quest

 

was feathering my steel bolts before and making around 1.5k fletching xp every minute, thats not too bad would need a shitload of them though.

 

Mithril bolts sell well, and well... you only lose about 100g per 10 bolts (you can buy mithril bars cheaper then mid usually).
