    Safe CPU Usage

I am currently running 4 bots on my computer and am in the 96-100% range for cpu usage. Does this mean that this is the max amount of bots I can run, or can I still add more?

put global settings to the right, if they are already there you're probably maxed out

if you run that high odds are your computer will start to overheat and shutdown. i usually run mine at 70-80% CPU usage. as kingjoseph said put global setting all the way to the right and it will appear to be lagging but the client is jsut sending your computer less frames per second and is running fine. putting globals like this should greatly reduce cpu usage.

Well, I would look at the temperature of your CPU. If it's above 50 or 55c, I wouldn't suggest running anymore bots. If you can run more without lag and keep the cpu temperature around 30 - 40 degrees, you should be fine. Plus, try closing out some background processes.

CPU isn't a problem, it's memory that restricts you on running bots.
if you have atleast 2Ghz CPU you can run like 10 bots no problem with the client sleep timers all the way up.

To figure out how many bots you can run, take the RAM you have, and the type of bot you want to run.
Usually bots like SW tend to use ~900MB whereas bots like fishing tend to use ~300MB or so.

To tell exactly how much RAM your bot is using, open the bot while it's running, press the ` key to bring up the dev console...
    then type "heap" without quotes.
it will tell you how much RAM you're using.

try keeping it in the 70s because at 96-100 it can overheat and fuck your computer up :S

Whoever said that there's high odds your computer will overheat and shutdown, has no idea what they're talking about.

If you bought all the parts yourself, and decided to just not get any cooling, then yes.

But if you bought a computer fully put together, it will have the cooling needed, to allow the computer to run at 100% CPU, it will just be slower.

Celcius? That's too damn hot. 100 degrees Fahrenheit is about 40 degrees Celcius which isn't too hot. Your CPU shouldn't run at 70 degrees Celcius unless you wanna drastically shorten the life of your CPU or mess it up from overheating. Anything under 50 degrees Celcius should be alright, I might even go to 55 or 60 degrees, depending on what sort of processor you have. The lower the better, of course.

It shouldn't shut down, but it WILL damage and shorten the life of your CPU by running it at high temperatures. Your CPU will have no problem being maxed out as long as you keep the temperature down.

Anything under 75C is safe if it gets higher then 75C you PC will shutdown to prevent your PC for damaging.
So unless you have OCed your CPU you will probably never get anywere close to 70C under full load so no need to worry about it.
