    Multiverse

I've been getting into this a lot more lately. (Multiverse)

Multiverse is the belief of multiple universes that all combined make what exists today.

(if any of the information is misleading, do please tell me. I'm here to learn, not teach.)

So i really wanna learn more about this, but i also wanna see if im just being irrational believing this theory. Do you guys believe in the idea of Multiverse, if so do you think we can manage to some how break the "Laws of Physics" and somehow travel into the other universes?

That question has been on my mind nonstop.

If we can't even know where our universe, current, comes from, how can we know if it's the mix of many lol.

I don't deny it's not possible. But think about it, if we were certain how the universe was created we could then ask if there are many universes.

One fact it is, this exists.

I understand what you are saying.
Yeah, correct me if im wrong, but i think Multiverse is a theory used to explain were our universe came from, I dont know it 100% so im guessing i shouldnt be trying to correct you.

I also understand what you are saying with the certainty, why worry about other universes when we dont know ours yet...

    i agree! lol

I have a mixed standpoint on these sort of things. I think I would tend to prefer an infinite universe, with an infinite amount of possibilities and outcomes. I've seen some relatively well known scientists acknowledge that this is not impossible. However, a multiverse is probably more likely.

A multiverse has nothing to do with explaining the origins of our universe. A multiverse implies that there are more than one universes. Much like how there are (obviously) more than one galaxies.

Hard to explain, so I'll leave it to the experts:

Yeah that's a theory of universe start. but how can we theorize that our universe is a mix of universes. Those universes had to be created at some point anyways... we go back into the loop.

yeah i get what you're saying. If everything we see is made from the other universes, that means they had to be here first right? i assume.

Thank you, really for proving me wrong.
again i was here to learn not teach. i shall watch the videos before i go to bed.
i seem to think about things a lot more when i read/watch things before i go to bed.
    thank you.

Not trying to prove you wrong. I only intended to share my POV on the situation/provide you with some interesting stuff etc.

Not necessarily. Michio Kaku said that these universes could pop in and out of existence all the time. It's complex stuff and you have to think about it completely differently than you conventionally would think about how the world works. Things could be entirely different in other universes.

i know! hah that makes me so interested in this topic when i think about how other universes could be.
Makes me wanna be able to go into one...
Thank you for sharing, you have helped a lot.

Questions about the universe always confuse my mind when I think deeply about it.

    - When was the universe created if it isn't infinite.
    - Does time exist in the universe
    - Where did matter originate from

Theres so many questions to be answered about the universe and I don't think any of us will live to see the mysteries unfold. Who knows how much more science can progress to learn about it all.

    1) Scientists like to estimate 13.7-13.9 billion years old

    2) Time isn't a constant, it can speed up or slow down depending on your surroundings and the forces acting upon you

    3) "The singularity", which is basically everything our universe is made up of compressed to a singular point that is often though to be infinitely small. I know this doesn't explain where the singularity came from but tbh I don't think we will ever know the answer to these type of questions.

Thanks for the help, it is too bad humans couldn't dedicate themselves more to finding out more about the universe we live in rather than fight each other and waste our resources.

Also one last question, how did scientists get an estimate for how old the universe is?

I don't personally agree with this method (I'll explain why afterwards) but they took a look into the sky and saw the most distant objects and measured how far away they were, and that is where we get our estimate from. (Since distance is measured in lightyears, each light year = 1 year on the universal timescale)

I don't claim to be an expert about this sort of thing but I see a few things wrong with that.. most notably we don't even know if the things we're observing are really at the "end" of the universe (or if there even is an end for that matter), or if there are objects past it that are just simply too far away to be seen by current technology.

I'm not 100% clear on what entails of a multiverse, I've heard it and read a bit about it but never in much depth.

Suffice to say that most of these theories are all untested hypothesis.

They are just theories with evidence to suggest their validity, however we cannot from our current scientific method test them.

As for your Laws of Physics they are human rules made up that have been tested to work in the areas we work with. Eg. Gravity, motion etc the list goes on.

The problem is one example that can defy the laws of physics is a black hole.

The simple fact is that we do not know how valid these Laws are universally; who's to say that they work in all the trillions of galaxies and not just our own. These Laws are just made up to accurately describe the phenomena we see. They are not stone if you will, they can and if technology advances deep into the future I'm sure that one day we will have a new set of rules.

If there are more universes out there we will probably never know. We have already seen passed what the human body can survive. We can't even reach Pluto before the human body will die of old age.

Alright, I believe that there in multiple universes and multiple lifeforms that exist but we wont know about them in our lifetime. I also have a weird belief that this is my world and basically everyone was put in front of me. You might not know what Im talking about but i tried to explain it my best
