old accounts

i was going to login to my really old accounts to check stats and stuff.

and when i logged in i got to choose a new name..



this happend to you?

 

That's weird, it shows that you've completed the tasks on how to train and level.. But it looks like you're account got reset?

 

well havnt logged in on this account since 2005 :s

 

Same thing happened to me except the account had actually been played on.

 

i had some stats on the account

 

Oh wow, so the stats probably stay but the name gets deleted...

 

had some old friends added to ;o

 

Someone took your name since you were inactive.

 

Yeah happened to me too, on two accounts i made during the Aryan era, guessing they free up names of noob accounts that haven't been played in X time.

 

they made me change a multispaced name and a 3 letter name on a level 3

 

That's quite strange. What did you change your name to? Was it like a rare name you had before?

 

I have a six-spaced name but it's still fine

 

you had to change your name cuz someone picked your name as their display name. jagex let people do this on accs that werent loggd in for over a year.

 

Yeah this happened to a level 3 i recovered from 07 that I abandoned.

 

Somewhere in the updates on rs it says accounts that have not been played on for a certain ammount of time will get name resets so others can use it, looks like this happened

 

Your name was freed up as a display name.

You still get to pick a new one.

 

wasnt a rare name.
