Does the amount of bandwith on your VPS effect anything on RSbot?

Can I run 2 bots on something with 2 gb ram 2400mhz cpu and 300gp Bandwith? Or does the bandiwith need to be higher?

 

nah it doesnt use much bandwidth, 300 is way more then enough.


and to anyone needing a VPS I have to say +1 to seerhost. Got the gold with them yesterday, set up was instant and the vps runs great. Them and photon are both good.

And word of advice for everyone, stay away from botvps.

Go to console type "yum -y reinstall java"
then download from Rsbots.net the 21.469 client and install that over again, should be fixed with no need to reboot. you will have to edit the -xmx again.

I replied to you earlier about my second purchase of a warp 4 and told you I would let you know if I had similar problems. Fortunately I did not experience any problems like you, I have 8 bots up and running on both packages. I suggest you submit a ticket and ask them to check your router connections. Also there are certain ways to decrease resource usage some examples are booting runescape into safe mode, runescape cpu settings to very low, globals to the right, turning brightness up I hear, running multiple auths and fewer clients. Post back if you try all these and still have problems.

 

Is vpsbotting.com any good? or is photonvps really my best bet?

I'd say your best to go with Photon. Not only is it amazing, it is the popular choice around here, so unless your really really really computer saavy you will probably need help; people like Persia are really good at it lol + he knows Photon well.

On a Photon Vps am I able to install another client, let's say for example RsBuddy and run that aswell as nexus clients?

 

It only took my email about 10 hours to be sent. You should get it in under 24 hours, at the very most 48.

Yes, basically it allows you to access another computer, you can do whatever you want with it.

 

Will Photon kill processes themselves if they want?

Every time I run 7 sorc bots on Warp 4 there is 1 client that randomly closes. I have no idea why.. so I am guessing it's Photon doing it? Why would they do it?? Warp 4 can handle 7 sorc bots easily..

I also lost a 3 day proggy and it was still going strong.. damn. -.-

 

I'm almost positive it isn't directly photon's fault. Even on my laptop sometimes my nexus client just randomly closes..

 

Happens all the time to me, however with 8 bots situation, meaning I can run only 7 bots at once, the 8th always closes.

 

How much bandwidth do you typically use per month per bot running 24/7?

Or how much bandwidth do you use per month using how many bots (for those running multiples 24/7)?

 

Whats the difference between Yardvps and Photonvps i heard they're ran by the same people?

 

I have a photn vps running cent os. Today when i load a bot it stays at 5% loading update 8 forever. So i killed nexus, and hit the logout button on my vps! Now my screen is blank whenever I login and I have no idea what to do! Help??

 

W00t, powerbot is up again!

 

Open up putty, log in, then -kill vncserver :1. (May not need to do this, but I do)

Then type in vncserver.

Then go back to VNC viewer and it should be working again.
