About Me.
Hey all, my name is Sean, but you all know me as FlyingToast. I play baseball, and love watching sports. Football season is my favorite time of the year, I absolutely love to follow College Football, preferably Ohio State. Same with Winter / Spring, but then I watch basketball, also Ohio State. I just feel that the College Atmosphere is much better then professional, but that is a discussion for another day. I used to play WoW pretty seriously, and most of the time now I just bot RuneScape. I play Xbox every so often, but really most of my free time has been devoted to Sythe these past few months. It's a great community, and has a very well formed market section. Okay, enough about me, let's get on with the application.

Why I Want to Be A User Educator.
I love to help people out. One can see by looking at my various posts in nearly every section. Even from right when I joined Sythe, my goal has been to help other users out. From the RuneScape General Forums, Cheating Forums or even World Of Warcraft Forums, I have always tried to help others. I take pride in being knowledgeable in various areas, and I enjoy helping other users much like I was helped when I was curious about different topics. Over the past few months I have become very knowledgeable over botting in RuneScape, and I have been very active in that respective section answering questions that ones new, or experienced, have. I also have written two extremely successful RuneScape Guides. I know they don't apply here, but I wanted to add that in to show I can write a well composed guide. I feel that becoming a User Educator would further my abilities to assist and aid these forums in....... Educating the Community .

Am I just applying because I only have to write two guides and I want a free rank?
Yes to the first for various reasons, and two to the second part. I at one time strongly opposed to compose five guides to become a UE for various reasons, despite wishing to become one. I felt, and in a way still feel that the direct correlation between aiding the community and educating them and guides was very weak, and it shouldn't be the main requirement to become a UE. Now that the guide requirements have been toned down, and helpfulness can shine, I am pleased with the UE section and would love to become part of that team.

3. How To: Take a Screenshot on a Mac - Complete.

This guy should no doubt be a UE. He's very active on Sythe and even more so in the UIRC. He's also thoughtful and insightful in all his posts, two outstanding qualities that certainly qualify him to be a UE. Just my two cents.

Good luck on UE toast, I can personally say that this guy is super sweet. Heck of a nice guy and I feel that he will do nothing but good as a User Educator.

I think your application is nicely designed and formatted. In terms of guide content I feel that your first is good, but simplistic. In your following guide(s) I think that you should go for something a bit more complex that is a solution to an issue the community may have which isn't common. Good luck with your application.

 

Thanks Graham! I feel the same way about the guides. My first guide was helpful but was very easy, and short. Expect a very well thought out in depth second guide.
