    paypal question

i know this gets asked like 100 times a day, but I can't find the thread that helped with this, but I was wondering

how can you prevent all chargebacks? I heard that paypal doesn't support gift payments and if they chargeback a gift they automatically win the claim.
Along with intangible goods, if they find out it's runescape related you automatically lose the claim too? When I have someone send me money, I usually have them send as gift, attach a note and send me an e-mail from their paypal linked account verifying they got their goods.

    paypal question

You have to use something like Playerauctions or Googlecheckout.

You can use playerauctions with paypal, and Google checkout is pretty similar I believe.

Basically all they have to do is call up their creditcard company (with a cc funded pp) and say there was an unauthorized payment, and they will immediately get a chargeback, even if you have all the evidence in the world.

    paypal question

Some people say that they just show a picture of the trade being finished and some of the MSN conversation to prevent from chargebacks.

This is the wrong forum to be asking this question in the first place. Post in the market lounge next time.

    paypal question

If it's a virtual transaction, the dispute almost always goes to the receiving party. In the case of an unauthourized claim, you will lose. Because Virtual Items have no shipping info, there is no way to win.

    paypal question

    Why not try using WU?
Fees are ridiculous but it's very smooth and works out great.
If you dont have a WU near you, maybe try using playerauctions, that should stop paypal chargebacks.

This kid knows what hes talking about.

PP is shit for RS trading.
    USE mail if possible
    bank deposit
    bank transfer
WU (only for bulk orders of over 150usd or so)

When your question is properly answered ask a mod to close the thread.

    paypal question

PP isnt always shit for RS trading. If you sell through player auctions with paypal, they cannot claimback as PA sort of act like the middle man in the trade. But they charge hefty fees.

Well I was refering to PP alone. The seller gets fucked over almost always if you have dodgy buyers.

& they are the ones which pay .90 per mill or more.
