4th inheritence book - finally released!

So Christopher Paolini finally released the official details on the last Inheritance book (AKA the Eragon books). The release date it November 8th, 2011. The title is "Inheritance". The cover is this:

I've never read any of them, but I never had anyone tell me what they're about to spark my interest. So if you'd like, please spark my interest.

 

I started this serious a long time ago when the first book, Eragon, was released. I thought that it was supposed to be a triology, so I was very disappointed when Christopher dragged it into a four book serious (for the money I'm sure haha).

I'm confident that this book will end well. I believe that Eragon and Saphira will go into another world, because I remember that somewhere in one of the books, there was a prediction that he would leave this world, happily.

 

Wow, I like reading these books. Its a good thing to do if I'm grounded.

TBH, I don't remember what happened at the end of the third because after I read it I read some "fake story" some guy wrote on a forum that was his writing of the 4th book.

Idk... I think Eragon will become victorious, but either he or Saphira will die.

Didn't he take like 3x as long as he thought he would to release the last one?

 

The last three have been released one after another, one a year, but the last one was released way back in 2008 D: It had better be worth the wait, that's all I have to say at this point haha

@the person wanting a summary, it's about a guy named Eragon who finds a dragon egg years after it was thought that only one dragon was left alive in the world. He becomes the only person who can stop the evil tyrant king. He becomes a "Dragon Rider" which is a position that was created to keep the Elves and the Dragons from massacring each other. In the book, Dragons are extremely intelligent and can communicate through telepathy. Magic is used by a magician who taps into a mental link to raw power that they were born with, and using a language called the "ancient language" that use to be the TRUE language of the world... hard to explain. Only elves and riders have that link to magic. Everyone else who delves in magic has to use spirits and they're called sorcerers for all intensive purposes. Sorcerers can accidentally summon spirits that are more powerful than themselves, and they turn into super human bad evil things called Shades and that's one of the major enemies in the series. Another major enemy is the Dragon Rider king and his Ra-zac, which are never really accurately explained (maybe they'll explain them more in book 4, I don't know) beyond their appearance (hunchbacked, black cloaked, beaks for mouths and beady black eyes etc)

There are four main races; human, dwarf, elf, and urgle which are basically orcs.

The major powers in the series are the Empire run by the corrupt king, the Varden which is a rebel group, Surda which is a country south of the Empire who support the Varden, the elves who are in hiding, and the dwarves who shelter the Varden but aren't necessarily part of the order.

It's pretty legit and very deep as far as plot and background stories go.

I'll be pre-ordering this book before release, I've enjoyed the series so far and have been waiting for the 4th book.

 

I completely forgot that this series exists and the plot of the series. I just had to read the plot summaries on wikipedia.... I'm looking forward to this book

Seems like forever that I started reading Eragon.

I read it, but didn't see the movie. I heard the movie did no justice to the book at all. Looking forward to this, hopefully he ends it with this and doesn't make it longer.

 

Most definitely will get this. Hoping it's worth the wait.

The 5th book would be a prequel, might be interesting... I wonder who the main character would be.. maybe the Elf Eragon? Oooh that'd be cool, if the 5th book was about the Elf-Dragon war..
