    As most of you know, the PowerBot client was infected twice (I think).
    Is it now safe to download and if I download it NOW, does that means I can still get keylogged or so?
    I was thinking of botting dungeoneering so what are the risks I am taking if I use the PowerBot client?

    it was infected once.
    it's been safe for a long time now.. people are just paranoid and stupid.
    the reason they get hacked are 3rd party virus programs, not powerbot's client anymore.

    Paranoid and stupid? I'd hardly consider that as people do invest their time in playing the game.

    It seems safe, I've used it on my account to train dung.

    paranoid because they think the creators of Powerbot are just out to hack mass people all day.
    Stupid because they don't know how the "infection" even happened or how it worked.
    And that's why arbiter is no longer with powerbot.. because he replaced the powerbot download link with stealthbot ONE TIME and it got like 100,000 accounts.

    yes it's completely safe now, the only thing that will get you hacked is 3rd party viruses on your computer.

    as for the PB incident, it was a combination of matt (gh0st) and arbiter... matt made the software and got the hosting, arbiter had the trust and the powerbot admin account to change the download link.

    Uh.. the client wasn't infected.
    The scripts that Arbiter made, had a keylogger hidden in it.

    Everyone used ArbiBots. When he turned homo, he added a keylogger in his scripts and called them updates.

    I would recommend RSBuddy.

    I have a account that is 65 dungeoneering. 14-65 in 4 days non stop. combat 66 with 1 pray.

    Thanks a lot for clearing this up for me guys.
    I feel a lot more safe now, knowing my account will be safe to bot Dungeoneering :)

    the link on the site was infected for some time but not anymore, you are also fine if you updated by opening the client and updated that way

    I've been with powerbot for a long time.
    It's never safe.
    You can't expect safe and lovey dovey community when its full of cheaters xP

    botting is a risk.
    So bot at your own risk.
