xlogging + staking?

while messing around in world 22/54 staking, I've been seeing the people who do the insane risk stakes (300m+/phats) talk about xlogging and how to prevent it.

I have a very rough idea what xlogging is, logging out in situations where it is normally not possible, but I thought it was patched years ago.

Is it still possible to xlog to save your cash, and if so, how hard is it to do so?

 

Recently there has been a bug that some have mastered where they can "disappear" if they are not doing well in the duel. There is lots of other threads on it. I am not sure if its xlogging, but it sure is a bug.

 

The old way went something along the lines of slowing your own connection down so much that you lose connection to the game, without actually ripping your ethernet cord out. This way your pc could still communicate with the game and tell it that you are just experiencing extreme lag. Eventually as you are seeing the lost connection to the server message for long enough you'll just end up at the login. I'm pretty sure it was patched loooooong ago and even if it wasn't its still really risky and unlikely to pull off.

 

They should fix it, a lot of bugs now realeated with Duel arena.

 

I have no idea how they do it but I see it a lot in w22 =/

 

Obviously no one who knows how will post. Basically they just log out when you shouldnt be able to, pretty simple.

Yeah staking has become too risky as a form or income. Too many glitches keep popping up quicker than Jagex can catch them.

 

It's probably from all those years of the Duel Arena sitting, and nobody using it consistently enough for them to catch anything. Jagex sort of failed, again.

 

They're not logging. They're using a force teleport to get out of the Arena. Google Runescape Force Teleports or something for some more information on how to "force teleport" ( Normally is teleporting to somewhere involving an item or a quest, in situations in which you normally wouldn't be able to. IE the force teleport out of BA a long time ago ).

 

It isn't a forced teleport at all, its a method of x-logging, I know how to do it, although I won't use it simply because I'd rather not risk the ban.

 

I doubt they xlog tbh, since the guy who stays in the duel arena will run out of duelling time and lose his cash (think i saw that in a vid).

So, or the buggers get the gold (which doesnt work when theyre not logged it) or gold dissapears (which i highly doubt).

Yes there are still glitches in duel arena which is why I wont be using until they are all fixed.

 

Why would it be called "x logging" if it's a forced teleport..
