World ending in May 2011?

Yet, another end of the world date.
You have probably seen these ads about "world ending" in may 2011 on Facebook, on your email, on a pop-up, ect. What do you think of this? I am not an atheist, but I personally think its just another try of religions to gain more followers. Ive read that the guy that started this is an evangelist, Harold Camping. He also said that the world was going to end in 1994 (which obviously failed).

What's you opinion on religions always trying to set a "judgment day" date? What do you think of 2012? What do you think of Nostradamus?

I heard its may 11th 2011. Not that I believe in it.

 

They say its may 11th because apparently in The Bible it refers to this date, not directly but through either symbolism or metaphors. (not quite sure).

Nope, after the 50th time they predict the end of the world and it doesn't come true it's not worth wasting your time to follow it. 5$ We will be here the day after...

 

I predict the world is going to end in 1 day.

It's the same as all the other randoms claiming it end soon. I bet every day of the year someone has claimed to be the end of the world. It's total rubbish to me.

Even if this was going to happen (its not), havent we always been told that god love us? Why would he want us all death then? Its pathetic.

To be honest if every year someone says it will end the following year eventually someone will end up right. =P

but seriously, I do feel the world will be ending some time soon, by natural means, man-made means or by the choice of the deity, not in a few years or even a decade, but close in the scheme of things possibly within the lifetimes of my children or grandchildren.
Being a Christian and an A-level Religious student, I look into the Bible quite alot and I don't think God and/or the people who wrote the bible would have put in secret mathematical formulae to predict the end to specific days.

 

Just people who want attention.

 

I believe there will be a transition; but not that soon and I don't think the world will end.

They just hype up a lot of other shit to keep you distracted from whats really going on.
