[Help] Making sure the account is yours [Help]

Hey guys, i'm currently thinking of buying a runescape account, basically I'm asking for a mini guide on how to ensure that the account is safe and sound from the buyer, meaning that it cannot ever be recovered. Obviously the more information you have the better, but is there any full proof method to ensure the bought account is yours and yours forever.

    Thanks for your time, Napstur.

Any proof that he gives you for you to be able to recover, he can also use to recover.

Is there no way of locking the account, using the info and changing everything?

    Imagine this scenario:

A hacker finds out all the previous passwords and details etc of your account.
Jagex must be able to do something...

There is a thread on the official forums where you can post, and I believe they wipe ALL information ever on the account or linked to it. I'm not exactly sure how the entire process works, however, so I can't say for sure if that's what you're looking for.

I doubt what the person above me said, unless they know for a full 100% that its you, the original owner.
Other then that, the original owner of a account can always recover a account, even though you can recover it with the information he gave you. I'd suggest you to not purchase accounts online, unless the person is very trusted. But that's really up to you.

Depends entirely on the original owner. If he is trusted with a lot of vouches, it might be worth the risk. If it's some new kid who joined 24th of March 2011 with 1 post, obviously don't buy.

if your buying an account have the mm do a recovery test to make sure the info is legit and will recover the account. once you get the account DO NOT immediately set new recovs and stuff it will lock the account because of the ip change.

About the recovery test, the test provides nothing other than the guy selling is the owner of the account. He will give you just as much information to recover the account while it has NO recovery's and/or email set, when he set those you won't be able to recover in 90% of the cases.

a runescape account can always be recovered and in my opinion it's never safe to buy one. i've even bought from gold4rs. and lost. so you need to be aware of this and cautious. just create your own account and bot safe way and this way you never lose :) patience and free

I woulden't ever by an account online, 80% of the time they will get recovered.
    Just a word of advice.

Accounts can always get recovered, no matter what you do.
There is a thread on RSOF, that you post on, and they have an option to wipe all account information on it (Just the Recovs/Email)
But even with that, it can still get recovered.
Nothing you can do. Except buy off a trusted person (Very trusted person)
