What do you think will happen when we run out of oil?

They'll end up in debt and need to claim bankruptcy first if we use the methods you're supporting. Attempting to save money while being bled dry at a gas pump is a bit counter-productive.

 

The government is lying most likely, like they do about everything else, Global Warming has been proven to be false because the data was over-exaggerated for money hungry faggots like al-gore. So, I'm sure the world isn't going to run out of oil, they just say that so they can raise the gas prices.

When it does run out, chaos will ensue, then nuclear annihilation. Few will be left alive, some will be zombies, and clean water will be worth more than oil.

Or, scientists will find a few temporary substitutes, auto sales will go down, and bike sales will go up. Also, electric cars will be "necessary", but still not "cool".

 

We won't run out of oil, but our supply will peak in the near future and we won't be able to extract it at a greater rate to serve the ever-growing demand.

Then the price will go up and other sources will become cost-efficient.

 

I work in the oil field as an electrician. We aren't running out of oil any time soon, I promise you. Only reason prices of fuel are going up right now is because of the disturbances in the middle east. Sadia Arabia alone produces approx. 13 million barrels of oil per day.

 

Then do something about it; don't complain if you're not willing to try to rectify the problem or aid those that are.

Oil will never 'run out'. Let me re word that haha. Being an "un-renewable resource", it 'Can run-out', but at present, we are only using 7% of 'Known' oil locations.

150 years i think it takes for an oil reserve to re-stock it's self? I may be wrong.

 

We switch to nuclear energy, and endure through all the flaws in that system, just like we endured the flaws in the fossil fuel systems. The human population isn't just going to roll over and die with no oil. We've lived without it for thousands of years.

realistically there would be war for remainder of resources and control. Our animal instincts would take over and people would fight to survive.

 

My country runs on hydroelectric plants. However gas is expensive shit now, we should move to vehicular gas or electric cars.

 

Stop saying that people will fight for survival when clearly Nuclear energy is so abundant that we can have it for so long that it will almost renew itself before it runs out.

Also there is a large amounts of methane which can be used as fuel for vehicles, it is also cheaper to gain methane since all animals exert it out of their ass. The reason why it is not used as fuel is because people wanna make money out of oil and also don't wanna pay to change gas stations.

 

Parox that is true but first instinct would be chaos when it is announced 'no more oil'. America alone consumes 20 million barrels of oil per day. Take that into perspective, if oil just ran out then it would take some time to produce that much nuclear energy. For the immediate survival people would fight.
