I have, Rashad looked horrible.

I dont think theres anyone who can beat Jones in terms of style right now. Great striking, great takedowns, great GnP. He has the whole package.
I might start to doubt Silva going in with Jones, considering imagine replacing Sonnen with Jones, its going to be murder.

 

Jones still has question marks though. His chin hasn't been tested. His sub defense hasn't been tested. But he has everything going for him

 

Theres only 1 awnser for that............Phil Davis.

 

I love Phil Davis, but give him a year or two. He doesn't have the striking, he has the sub game though, plus he is very creative in subs. First UFC fight, andaconda over a very tough Gustaffon. The the one arm kimura of tim boestch

 

Watch his first MMA fight, he has the power, and all he needs is to train it. i'd give him 6 month of hardcore striking to work.

 

Its crazy the futures they have. There both 23 i believe. I know he has power, but he needs to up his striking game kind of like Roger Gracie.
I wanna see Davis fight a Hamill type of fighter now, a perfect step up.

 

I think Hamill wont be able to stop Davis's takedowns. Davis is 26, 3 years older.

And Davis has MUCh more power than Gracie imo.

I can understand 129 being far apart because they're probably trying to build up steam for their biggest even yet; but in general it's just plain annoying for us insatiable MMA fans.

I've never really watched a Davis fight, going to do so tomorrow night.

 

Davis is the future also. Watch his fight at 112 against Alexander Gustaffson and 123 against Tim Boestch

 

Davis started BJJ very late however, whilst Gracie and every other Gracie does BJJ since 6 years old.
He started in his late twentys, and look at his BJJ right now, its fantastic. give him some more time and he'll be able to get better. The thing about Davis is that he has striking potential AND submission potential.
Compared to Lesnar, Davis seems to have the better chance of growth, including the fact that Davis could fight at Heavyweight and has a better chance of beating Velasquez than Lesnar.

129 is going to be a one-sided fight with GSP destroying Shields.

I saw that already lol, Pistons are my favorite team. Davis has a shit load of potential though and he is only getting better.

 

Haha saw an interview post-fight that Rashad saying he's done with Greg Jackson's gym.

 

Yeah, I heard he was moving to AKA.

 

Might do him some good with a new camp, coaches and trainers.

Either way, I think Jones is going to ring his bell.

 

Maybe, Greg Jacksons is the best camp out there though, he should have moved to Extreme Couture though.
