Help on western union fees?

Well over the past week when I go to send cash with western union, it's been fucking outrageous pricing.

$12 for $24 send. That's literally 50%.

I actually wanted to ask some questions in regards to fees with Western Union in Australia.
What is the fee to send to Australia from within Australia and what is the Fee to send to Australia from the US.
Sorry OP not intending to hijack just don't want to make clutter with a second thread. Also you should include in your OP Where you are sending it to and from

Wtf it says sending $100 to Australia from Australia is a $20 fee. Seriously?

 

The fees on WU is holding me back for using it also, if I send 100 euro to any country within Europe I pay a 7 euro fee. To other countries it's getting expensive, especially australia, costs me a 17 Fee, I live in The Netherlands.

 

Yeah man its ridiculous. Its pretty decent for USA TO CANADA transactions or vice versa but nothing too far.

 

Use MoneyGram, cheaper fees than Western Union, same service.

 

Thinking about it really. Possibly able to do it online? Can you check the payment AMOUNT online?

 

You can do it online but online fees are higher, but still cheaper than WU online fees.

 

Alright, thanks mate. I think the reason this one was so high was, because I sent it to damn Egypt.

I think WU has a minimum fee of $12 for their international transfers. If send $1k+ the fees aren't bad. The best I've ever seen was $33 for sending $1200 to the UAE.

 

Sent crab a thousand, and the fees were unbelievably cheap. When I send overseas, it seems like the fees are cheaper than when I send to America. For higher amounts that is.

 

yea its a bit pricey but its the most reliable method of getting paid if your a seller ...

 

Money Order seems pretty good. Stores that are always open seem to do money order, as where stores that do western union close at 10 PM here.

 

It's mostly a flat fee, meaning it's a much better deal if you're sending more cash at once.

 

I never use WU because of the fees.
