Item Scamming Questions

I wanted to know some stuff. I got scammed of 1 mil from runescape. If i report the user, will he be permanently banned or temporarily banned?

 

Neither, Jagex doesn't care anymore.

 

Were you scammed in-game or over sythe?
If it was in-game, no one ever gets banned from just item scamming, especially over 1m
If it was over sythe, file a report in the appropriate section, you will need evidence though.

 

oh, i didn't know that jaqex doesn't care anymore. No wonder there are so many scammers now.

 

yea jagex wont do anything anymore. they just want the $ from memberships

 

I don't think jagex will ban him at all. Never really heard of somebody getting banned for item scamming.

Jagex almost never punishes for item scamming these days..I think its worth the occasional scammers for free trade though.

 

He more than likely won't get banned or punished as jagex don't seem to do much about this, there is a small chance but i highly doubt anything will happen.

Just learn your lesson and be sure to trade with caution in the future, remember you are not the only one who has been scammed, all you can do is report and make sure nothing like this happens to you again.
