    What Are Dreams?

I Read A Book and It stated " If you unlock the intelligence to the Subconsious Mind you are able to use 100% of your brain" Is Dreams the gateway to this?

    What Are Dreams?

Finally I subject I can right a lengthy and explaining note on. Lmao. Anywho, O/T:

Dreams are made in the subconcious mind while you sleep. While some people believe that they're future telling things made my both your left and right side brain, using events that have currently happened to predict what will happen. This is a major factor of Deja vu. I think that that is quite logical, its sort of like your brain is making a hypothesis, which normally comes true. Dreams are ACTUALLY only about a split second long. The images and sound flicker through your brain at a rate to high for you to quite comprehend. So, your brain takes the image, and slows it down to be seen and heard. As it plays in your mind, you begin to understand the images and sounds like you would in your every day life. Dreams are often caused and about most recent events. If you've been lingering on a test for a few days, your bound to have a dream about it. Nightmares happen when you have NEGATIVE thoughts (obviously :\). It hasn't been proven yet, but like 7/10 people they did they test on showed up positive on this test: If you are angry at someone, lets say your mother, and you say you hate your mother or other things, and you go to sleep angry, you'll most likely have a dream about her dieing. They're not sure why this works, but some people like to say God sent you those dreams because you shouldn't hate or go to bed angry. I, personally, don't think God can control those things. If he could put dreams and stuff in our mind, he'd put dreams to make us believe in him. But anyways, I think that it's just because you have all of that negative energy towards that person, and it's only thoughts, so your mind links it together with pictures.
Night terrors. If you've never heard of them, then you most likely haven't had one, and I've gotta say, you're lucky. Night terrors are when you can actually FEEL the pain of things. Say your being chased by (ok, we're gunna use my most often, so don't laugh at the stupidity of it..) Voldemort. You guys are running through Hogwarts/Sirius Black's house. (lmao, I know, I need to not read Harry Potter before bed.) As he's chasing you, he casts a curse at your back, and it hurts like a bitch. You can actually feel the pain of that "curse" on your back, it will actually feel like someone had just sliced you with a knife. To conclude this, I'll rule out a commonly thought myth:

If you die in your dreams, you die when you wake.

MYTH. Absolute and complete myth. I would have died long ago. So yeah, I hope this helped/informed you a little bit better.

    What Are Dreams?

dreams are EXTREMELY important. Like I said, they can sometimes tell important events. But more on that being: they can be interpreted, though roughly, and you can be warned of dangers and crap :L

    What Are Dreams?

Your Id, or subconscious, creating an alternate reality based on experiences and knowledge from real life. Dreams have been said to show underlying intent or subconscious thoughts, although they may also be entirely abstract.

    What Are Dreams?

who says dreams are the "reality" and when we are 'awake' it's the escape from said reality? (philosophical view)

    What Are Dreams?

Dreams are your raw subconscious manifesting itself while your body is shut down.
