Scam - Alert

Just feel i should post this as many people are un-aware of this scam.

if someone makes a thread/gets in contact with you asking for help with rsbot or any other bot and asks you to send them data.dll don't as it will allow them to see your saved user and passes you have saved on the nexus client. ive seen afew threads about this today.

When talking to you hell probably say something along the lines or its missing/corrupt and if you could send him it to help him fix his bot

dont' get scammed.

 

I personally thought that you had to be on the same computer to be able to do that because it's encrypted to a computer, not a file.

 

nope, if they delete there data.dll file and then use yours then they see your usernames/passes you've saved.

I'd fill it up with real users (like top 1000 rs accounts) and fake passes...

Let them highscore it and be like ZOMG and then ...

 

This is so old, people used to do this with RS Bot. And I'm quite sure people are not stupid enough to send it though.

 

I understand this is old was tried on my 3 years ago at another site :L but people do fall for it as the person whos asking for the file often says how he will give them a payment for helping him out so yeah. just trying to reduce the chance of someone getting scammed

 

It's called "Data.db" in the rsbots.net client

 

I know this already, but good you are telling people.

I wouldn't send any files of your own period to people, and the same to receiving, unless its the official download.

Why would anyone even consider sending their data.db/.dll it has all their scripts on it as well, thats why it has to be transfered when a new client comes out. Lmao at idiots...
