Is weed addictive?

Short and simply. This.

 

Well I smoke bud everyday, So I'd say the best way to describe this is; Did you get addicted to runescape? If so, You'd get addicted to weed.

 

not physically addictive, but its mentally adictive. from experience, i smoke weed and im not addicted but i wouldnt wanna stop

 

The only circumstance where marijuana becomes physically addictive is when it's laced with something like cocaine.

 

marijuana is addictive, but its not physically addictive like the others said, but it is psychologically, it is the Feeling THC gives you.

 

THC isn't addictive. Not everyone is psychologically addicted because of the THC in Marijuana. Everyone is different, and everyone reacts to it differently.

 

I must admit I smoke a lot of weed, I have never really experienced 'withdrawals' or found it to be addictive. But, when I do have it around I really do smoke it all quite fast, worst i've had is...well the best way to describe it would be a weed hangover the next day from possibly intaking too much the previous day. So yeah i've seen people 'nic out' b4 and it can be quite intense but i've never seen someone who smokes weed even come close to that state of withdrawal. I've stopped smoking it for several months , several times before and was able to easily pass up smoking it with my friends,even though circumstaces did arise where i thought 'some weed would be good right aboot now. I just find it makes a majority of things more enjoyable. I also smoked a couple cigs in a row, got a head rush, and though "wow is that really it? Wasn't compelled to try em again after that" Then again I don' really have an addictive aspect to my personality, I hear it differs quite a bit from person2person.

 

Weed is addictive to the weak minded, but no where near as addictive to the strong minded.
One aspect that makes weed addictive however is its withdrawal symptoms.

 

Its not really what you smoke, but just how you smoke it. If you hitting it 3+ times a day, your addicted alright. In moderation, you won't get addicted, as with all things, e.g Runescape.

 

I didn't really read the discussion because I don't want it to taint my reasoning...but:

I don't think it is addictive, but people have become relient on it as a society. I believe Weed in the next 20 years will be like what Alcohol is to our society. It doesn't have addictive qualities but some people take it to far into their lifestyle to make it seem addictive and necessary for everyday life. People don't crave the high, they just don't function as well without it.

Mentally, yes.
Psychically, no.

It's just the same as smoking, I'm not psychically addicted to it, but I am mentally.
It's a while back since I last smoked a joint either way, used to do it more often.

 

It is not, technically, an addictive substance. But people do get dependent on it as they want to have that "high" again and again

 

shits addictive no1 can say its not lol i smoked weed for 3 years everyday was buying an oz near every 4 days... every now and then id run out and there was no1 selling it and man did i get pissed off so many times id dreg the bong and even smoke left leaf when i was out... and it really does make u forget shit fast after i quit it took me over a year to stop putting something down then like a minute later forget where i put the fucking thing lol but hey pots better then grog in every way. u dont go stupid and fight,argue,yell, just laugh and occasionly vomit lol

u have never had a beer a smoke or a bong have u??? are u saying a strong minded person can smoke a quart a day and not be addictied to weed within a month??

If so, yes.

 

I'm not knowledgeable on this subject as I don't smoke anything at all, but from the way my brother smokes weed, it definitely appears addictive, whether it be physically, mentally, or both.

 

From what I've seen from my friends it definately is.
