The deposit idea

Okay, so the other night a friend came over and brought some pot, we got high and watched Avatar. When she talked all that life and balance crap I came up with an idea which I wrote down not to forget, so here goes.


Basically you arrange a deposit, it has to be a minimum value (Say 10-30 USD and or 15-50m RS cash) and a maximum one.

With this, you get a tag next to your name (Much like the donator one) which says say something like "50$ Deposited"

Now, this is to avoid people scamming, and to make trades faster and smoother, should you scam someone, Sythe will take the deposited value off your hands and return it to the owner.

And to avoid ALL THOSE PEOPLE who would try to abuse this system in ANY kind of way, you'd have to AGREE to the TERMS of this deposit.

Terms that would state something like this:
I Agree to let Sythe hold my *valuta* for a minimum of 30 days before I can request a return.
I Agree to the fact that if I am under the suspicion of scamming someone Sythe has the right to deny me access to this *valuta*
I Agree to the fact that if Sythe's staff convict me guilty of scam, they have the Right to transfer the specified amount of cash with a penalty to the victim directly from my deposit.
I Agree to the fact that when I request my money back its a X days delay before I get it and any trades during that time are to be reported, if not they will lead to a penalty


Ideal Rules:
Sythe Account has to be X days/months/y old to make a deposit
Sythe Account needs to have at least X posts to make a deposit (Yeah posts doesn't matter that much but 37 post count is different from 1500)
Sythe Account cannot have any ban history in order to make a deposit​

Now remember, this is SCRATCH notes, it would need a lot of work, but in the end this could turn out real nice and efficient. If you had a moderator handling it or find an automatic system, with enough rules you'd easily filter out the scammers/abusers in a system like this and have a potential golden ticket to safe and easy trading.

Side Note: I'm Norwegian and my English grammar is far from Perfect, obviously terms etc would have been made by someone far more skilled in terms of grammar.

 

I think it'd be too hard for the staff to handle this. Regardless, this could lead to staff being corrupt such as falsely banning and/or accusing someone of scamming and taking the funds. No support.

 

Yeah thats what I thought, would be shit loads of work to handle this. Maybe setting the minimum deposit even higher? say 150m/100USD? Would certainly decrease the unnecessary deposits

 

Plus it would act as false security say I get scammed but don't have enough proof etc..

 

Too much to handle, it would require a lot of new staff.

 

Great idea in theory, but I think Sythe staff would be overwhelmed.

What he's saying is like a donation, but the person who got scammed gets the money if he happens to scam them.

 

It's not a donation, it's like a safety deposit.

 

This just wouldn't work. It's not worth the hassle.
