Karma - believe it? or don't believe it?

    Hello guys ,

Well , recently I've done some stupid things , which I will no say.
Which followed by some annouying things that have happened to me that usually would NEVER happen...

    Which leads me to this....

    Do you believe in Karma?!

    Karma:

'Karma' is an Indian religious concept in contradistinction to 'faith' espoused by Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam), which view all human dramas as the will of God as opposed to present—and past—life actions. In theistic schools of Hinduism, humans have free will to choose their own actions, which require only the will of God to implement karma's consequences. Buddhism and Jainism do not accord any role to a supreme God or Gods, but the principal belief is the same. In Indian beliefs, the karmic effects of all deeds are viewed as actively shaping past, present, and future experiences. The results or 'fruits' of actions are called karma-phala.[3]

Basically in a nut shell Karma is what goes around comes back around
You do something bad , and something bad will happen to you.

    Post thoughts.

Yes, I just think it's delayed. Doesn't come back instantly.. wait a few years, or decades.

Karma - believe it? or don't believe it?

i believe in cause and effect
past memories of cause and effect tell me that good leads to good sometimes.

then again, the view of good is incredibly subjective.

but as for a cosmic force creating balance and harmony throughout the universe in the form of karma...... sry, you lose me

Karma - believe it? or don't believe it?

It's a difficult question for me to answer, I do use the word Karma and whenever a situation arises where someone gets what they give I'll say that's Karma for you.

However I don't actually believe in the ideology, 'what goes around comes around.' I believe that in a certain form of that where in the way you conduct yourself in other peoples presence is how they'll conduct themselves in front of yours.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that I don't believe in Karma as a rule. I believe certain elements of the concept but not it being a definitive rule.

Karma - believe it? or don't believe it?

Hard question for me personally. Whenever I do bad stuff it will eventually bite me in the ass, it can take days, weeks, or even months to bite me back. Is it possibly just a coincidence though mixed with bad timing or is it something a lot of people call karma?
Generally after something bites me in the ass (Metaphorically speaking) something good will turn up, and then turn into a vicious circle after I do something bad. Coincidence and bad timing or karma?
Personal choice on what you'd like to call whatever that vicous circle is.

Karma - believe it? or don't believe it?

But does it just happen because good and bad stuff happens?
    or is it related.

Yes, to a certain extent I do beleive in Karma, it isn't as concrete as "If I kill someone, I will be killed" but actions to lead to other actions, and if you are doing bad things, the likelyhood of something bad happening to you will increase.

Karma - believe it? or don't believe it?

I grew up in a family that always told me what goes around comes around, but I didn't think about luck until I saw the thread. It could very well be that we just have some bad happen and some good.

What are some other thoughts on the factor of luck? It's an interesting topic :)

    Karma.
    No.

If you do something bad, consequence can open up new doors leading to more ill-fortune. However, something completely unlinked and unrelated happening to you is completely by chance.

Karma - believe it? or don't believe it?

I do not believe in karma. Growing up my father was the worst piece of you know what to everyone, except family. Yet he makes 6 figures, owns a house, cars, and always has time to come back to see family.

Bad things about my dad: he has no conscience, he is a huge racist, disrespectful to all, Picky, Extremely bossy, and a perfectionist.

I still love him being my dad and all, but the next time I'll ever consider visiting him will be when he is lying on his death bed.

Karma - believe it? or don't believe it?

I believe that at some point in your life its in effect, but I honestly couldnt say that I think theres Karma involved in every choice you make. Something from the past can have a positive or negative outcome years after.

Karma - believe it? or don't believe it?

People pay for what they do, and still more, for what they have allowed themselves to become. And they pay for it simply by the lives they lead.

    Karma awaits around that corner
It will hit you when you least expect it to
    at your weakest spot
    on your weakest moment
    It never forgets you

    Definitely not.

Ton's of people that do horrible things get to the top of the world, and some even end up staying there. Lot's of people that commit criminal offences get away with it, with no effect.
