Do you think runescape is dead?

By dead to me is:

- Your botting to make cash and sell it here = Game's dead
- Your standing in g.e 10hours a day and do nothing = Game's dead
- Your opening Rs homepage to see update and come sythe few minutes = Game's dead
- You dont even know how to play legit = Game's dead

Tbh its been 7years i play runescape and i never feel this game more dead as it is now.

 

It's seems like it to me too... This is because of JaGeX being too lenient and raking cash in. I would like them to be like before now... everything is dying out.

 

It's been dead since 2007 for me. The only reason I'm involved anymore is for rwt.

 

I try not to bot that much and I only have 1 acc that skills/pks. Mostly I slay to pass time and the other times that I'm free, I pk with old friends of mines on f2p. It's fun in a group and you can't be cleaned at all.

Rs is still fun to me that way.

 

Did you ever stop to think that maybe his grammar problems are due to "Engrish" not being his native language? Of course not. Comments like that make an ass out of you more than him.

I've recently converted to being a botter, as I did everything legit before (99 Slayer, 57M Strength Exp, 99 Summoning, etc.) and realized I'm wasting my time on a game, I had about 300+ Days played on my adventurers log ever since I started 7-8 Years ago.

Ever since Jagex turned money hungrier than ever, is when most people realized they could get away with botting so you saw an increase in bots/cheating.
I finally realized playing legit is a hefty time waster, trust me, the only thing worth playing legit in RS now is PKing.

 

i have given up with it now im just botting to some max skills and guna pk like mad the sense of community has gone and players these days seem diffrent to before i used to love pking in a massive clan i only solo these days makes me sad but oh well

games dead for me, but pvp isnt. thats still fun.

 

Even PvP is a little bullshit now... Game is definently dying.

people been saying this for like what... 5years? yet theres still alot of people playing and there will always be new players but true...for us being still here after all these years the game is dead

 

Sadly, it's been dieing for ages. The return of the wild + FT was a ploy to save it a few more years.

the game was fun when members was not completely necessary
this game was fun when smithing rune plates was still worth it
this game was fun before they ruined a lot of skills by releasing super powerful weapon drops. (remember when r2h was beast?)
this game was fun before you were required to duel in one small area
this game was fun before they added 300 quests that are outdated, unnecessary and unrewarding.(i remember when i completed dragon slayer the first time. i was sweating bullets.)
this game was fun before all the aspects of the game became manipulated by ppl looking for pure profit and no fun. (botters, merchs)
this game was fun before the GE took all the fun out of selling in varrock square
this game was fun when they were not so worried about the runescape market
this game was fun when they were still dropping rares on holidays
this game was fun before they allowed every single player to gain levels in melee/archer/magic skills without gaining combat levels (this made pking so much more fun, archers actually had to act like archers and mages were almost non-existent)

I don't actually play this game, I just bot it, so yes you could call it dead in that sense.

However the game is still very much alive in an overall sense, with so many thousands and thousands of legit players, I believe that Runescape still has life in it.
