    RAM vs Processor for botting

Pretty sure this is in the right section as it's related to runescape botting.

Anyways, what do you think is needed more for running more bots as I'm planning on buying a computer.

idk if I should upgrade the processor to a AMD Phenomâ„¢ II X6 1100T Black Edition Six-Core CPU

with only 8 gbs of RAM

or if I should have a processor that's worse (quad core and a little bit worse specs) but it has like 16gbs of RAM.

Processor is much more important than RAM. People run out of processing power long before they run out of RAM to run the bots. You can run more bots with a good processor and smaller RAM versus a bad processor and more RAM.

How many bots do you intend to run?

    "only 8gb of ram"

That's more than enough for 16+ bots.

Go for the best processor you can afford.

I actually run out of RAM when my processor is at like 60%. I have 6GB ddr3 1333mhz.

Anyway, those specs look fine for 14-16 bots i guess. Each of my bot uses 0,4-0,5gb RAM.

Haha yes, well 8gb of RAM in comparison to 16gb is a big difference.

Anyways, thank you to all that replied, i appreciate it. :D

Edit: i realized i didnt answer your question, i was shooting for around 15ish bots, maybe more.

Don't get a hexacore CPU, they're no better than quad cores.
