i give it a 4
try a darker background and softer non neon colors as the banner
try to make it look cool and inviting
soft greys and dark blues shout laid back but dont overdo it with those colors

as for the site monetization
try to get some more niche specific ads from adsense
or go with another type of monetization
honestly adsense doesnt appeal much to the average internet user
anymore

Personally I believe strongly in short URL addresses. You wouldn't want to have to type a paragraph to get on Facebook would you?

I think an acronym would have suited this application better. Example: http://tfpl.com

The yellow banner against the light blue background in the center of the page just stands out and screams; "Mis-Matched", "Ugly", "Poor Text Choice".

The content isn't special. It looks thrown together, as if you wanted to post anything just to make it look "active".

http://wordpress.org/ is a better choice to use as your website base...

I think that you should change the font to something more stylish, but not too much. It looks a bit.. squared at the moment. Also, the graphics are not very well placed and the text should be made to wrap around it maybe- Just my opinion, but nice site overall.

the colors you are using are ok. except at the top white on white.. try adding a page select on the bottom where your nav is at.

yes the banner needs work on.. i dont even realize it was there thought it was part of the ads. its the name of the page needs to be just as important as the page itself

since this is is a blog site its all good, ur getting attracted to the info not the surrounding info background etc..

Subscribe to: Posts (Atom) could be lower a little i think way to close to the nav

The source-code is chaotic. Split the HTML and CSS.
Link your style.css file to the HTML.
Also, it's Internet Explorer based. Not my favorite though.
