Photon or seerhost?

I did use Seerhost for a month. Good service, but I'm looking for some other VPS because I could only run one sorc garden bot decently with a $20 package

 

The automatic setup of the client is a mere benefit.

SeerHost prices are significantly cheaper than photon- more than $10 less than photon for the 1GB plan (assuming you aren't getting openvz at photon).

There's no $20 plan o.0

 

can you explain please how seers is cheaper because this is what I see on the sits:

 

how is photon cheaper? seer is Slightly cheaper when it comes to the 1 gig ram

 

It was close after the fees etc, it was more like $18. Don't take it the wrong way at all I'm sure it would work great for multiple bots but my rc bot wasn't getting high enough rates

I did get about 90% on the sorc garden bot but never tried more then one.

 

ah ty and I need to just run 1 bot can I do that with the 10.95 plan from photon if its just auto fight or alcher with no lag?

 

In the end I would never buy trash openvz. I have bad experience with this virtualization due to the ability you can over sell the memory, hard drive. In XEN however everything is guarantee so I can host my bots without worrying about getting my resources jacked.

EDIT: I'd like to add that I would not even purchase OpenVZ from photon. In addition, I could care less if you're a host, you are obviously working for seerhost and are promoting in your companies favor. However, despite all you say, regardless of any company, i would NEVER EVER purchase OpenVZ as I want the resources that I pay for. Therefore: reliability in the fact that no one is stealing my resources.

 

I'm not computer illiterate but PhotonVPS was REALLY simple to setup - With the use of a guide ofc. I'm running 4 Sorc Garden bots on Warp 2 (24.xx with 10% off code) Will make enough to pay for the VPS in 1 day.

I recommend it. I do plan on trying another VPS out soon though to compare.

 

Either one is good. I personally use Photon and have had few problems. I've heard good things about Seerhost as well.

 

I've just used Photon for a entire month, and I must say, their VPS is VERY good. I can run up to 2 bots smoothly on a 1GB package with very little if not zero lag, and at a time rate of 24/7

I'd say, put your money with Photon.

I've used both services for a while. Here is how it turned out.

Photon - I never could get the cilent to work properly. It started up, loaded rs, and then crashed. I modified the sh file, like instructed, numerous times with no effect. And their 'all support tickets answered in 30 minutes or less' claim is a complete crock of shit. Took 2 hours for them to answer me. And the answer loaded with gramitical errors. Also, it took a little over 8 hours before they sent me access details for my vps.

Seerhost - Cheaper hosting. Nexus preinstalled. Client works perfectly with no issues. As for how many bots I can run, I easily run 3 bots and use a little less then a gig of ram. And for some reason I have 4 gb of ram even though I ordered the 1 gb package. Also, It only took them 20 minutes to answer my support ticket. Might have been luck, but still... Much faster then Photons, less then quality, support. Took a little over 30minutes before they sent me access details for my vps.

Result?

Photon is a craps shot. Sometimes you get a win, sometimes you get a loss. But the thing is why even use a general use vps when you can use a vps that is dedicated to rs botting?

 

Guys its been a roller coaster even after being in the VPS game for a mere 2 days. I want to preface this first by saying that i am deathly ill right now with some kind of sinus infection. I've lost my voice and my head feels like it may explode. When registering at Photon I misspelled my email address. I purchased the warp 2 package (only package available) and checkout etc. eat dinner and come back to find my session logged out. I go to log back in and it says that my email account is not recognized. After 30 hours and 4 tickets and dealing with Ken lv 1 engineer and Murray lv 2 engineer, my request to have my email changed to an email that actually exists so I can login has finally be transferred to photons billing department. This is NOT a good start to what Im sure will be an epic saga involving me attempting to install the vps and run nexus. I'll keep you guys updated.

Side note. I plan on using this vps to do some SW botting. I hear that rsbots.net's sw bot is superior to Perfectious. (I am a huge supportor of Perf) what would be the most advantageous settings to use for a 1 defense pure? does burying bones give pray exp? And lastly, Puro Puro or Slades RC bot? Considering I already have an account with 99hunt? Slades rc bot is glitch free and makes 500-600k an hour at 90+ rc, but would take almost a month to get to 90+ rc... While puro puro is riddled with bugs yet averages 300-500k an hour with the potential to make 1m an hour..

 

Well im mad tight because photon was out of stock so... idk wtf to do now..

 

I'd go with Seerhost because it is cheaper and the Nexus Client is built in.
