    Photon or seerhost?

I was pretty VPS illiterate like you, but I ended up downloading the VPS without much trouble.

There are plenty of step by step guides which are easy to follow.

    I'd do PhotonVPS.

    Photon or seerhost?

Alrighty! I'll read some guides tonight and 2morrow pop for photon. I have an acc with 98 hunt. So should I buy puro puro 25$, photon warp 2 21$, membs 8$ = 54$ at .80$ a m I would have to make 68mill in oder to break even. 500k an hour and 20hours a day botting that means I'd pay off vps and auth in 1 week of botting. Plus silver is 1gig ram I could prolly run the puro puro + one other bot. Maybe kminer on my pure? I have these auths, perf fighter, perf hunter, kminer, perf cooking, perf fm and rsbots crabber

    Hey,

If you have any questions or issues regarding choosing a VPS and setting up the bots on your VPS you can contact me at [email protected] on MSN.

Just a quick note: Seerhost operates their VPS on OpenVZ. Photon on the other hand uses XEN.

The difference between the two is that XEN is faster and reliable. Like I said if you have any questions I can chat with you on MSN.

    Photon or seerhost?

I've purchased Photon VPS, is a bit hard to set up, however once you've set it up it works a charm.

Don't know much about Seerhost so I can't comment about that.

Between the two I'd personally buy Seerhost as I can't be annoyed to download all of those programs for PhotonVPS.

If you're open to another VPS check out CentOS.
Here's a guide on how to set it up if you do:

Annoyed? The guide tells you everything to do.

For me, it's about quality. In case you didn't know OpenVZ VPS providers tend to "oversell" their ram. By simple terms, when you're purchasing a VPS from them the RAM is not dedicated completely to you. XEN VPS providers give you dedicated RAM. That is why sometimes you will ask why your VPS isn't running to it's maximum potential. Answer is simple. You are getting what you paid for.

False, OpenVZ is significantly more efficient with much less overhead. However, as you said in your 2nd post, it does allow for overselling. Only poor quality hosts actually do this though (you can tell when their prices are very low).

    Most OpenVZ packages are oversold.

I beg to differ. I can sit here and debate with you, but here are some facts.

    http://slashdot.org/story/07/05/15/019251/Performance-Evaluation-of-Xen-Vs-OpenVZ

    http://blog.robertalks.com/index.php/2009/04/03/xen-vs-openvz/

Translation. Xen is faster and more reliable than OpenVZ.

More reliable? Only if the host itself is unreliable and oversells OpenVZ (like photon- in which case I would say yes)

Faster? No, you're straight wrong. I don't know where the hell they got those figures in that report, but it is a long established fact that openvz is faster. From that same link (someone who knows what they're talking about this time):

Debate all you want- you're an affiliate; I'm a host with years of experience in virtualization technologies. It's my job to know this stuff through and through

I've been using DMEHosting, it's pretty good so far. Check out webhostingtalk.com and go the VPS Offers...Good deals and you could learn something there.

The NeXus client is very easy to sign up. It literally takes like 2 minutes to set it up. Do you really want to be stuck on a plan that is at least $10 more monthly just because you didn't want to spend 2 minutes setting up the client yourself? There's even a guide on sythe by Kero explaining how to do it. I'd go with photonvps.
