No downloads or anything for a virus? So I found it really odd to get. Im sure if I replied though these "pics" would be a virus.

 

I am sure there are people who join sythe and other sites to collect email addresses and then sell them to marketers and the like.

That is why you should never use your own personal email address for such forums and sites.

 

They'll probably try to talk to you on yahoo or something and get you to download pictures or something else with a virus or whatever. maybe just tell them your not the person they want?

 

Just spam. Don't bother adding them.

Probably a crawler that scans sites and inserts the url for the site it found the email on.

I did get a few from a supposedly Prince of an African country that has gone corrupted and needs me to transfer millions of dollars to my bank account to keep it safe xD. Funny stuff

 

I got it. I about died laughing after I read it too. Still have the email actually, I never got around to deleting it.

So I replied this:

And got a totally unrelated reply (along with 2 images that I don't particularly want to click on or save to my computer but rest assured, nothing special...):

Oh! and a totally unrelated co-incidence my family on one side come from Dakar in Senegal and I was there just last summer. Beautiful place
