Jailbreak iOS4.2.1 on your iDevice with Greenpois0n.

and you don’t need much knowledge to do this. This jailbreak is called a One-Click-Jailbreak.
You put the device in DFU mode and Greenpois0n will jailbreak without requiring actions of the person.

--You can tweak your device
--No Apple restrictions

Negative side of Jailbeaking:
--Device can be less stable
--Battery consumption is higher


How to Jailbreak your device.

First we need to download Greenpois0n from the official website. ( http://www.Greenpois0n.com )
Meanwhile you can connect your device with your computer/mac and wait until the download has been finished.
When it’s finished, start the application. Now it’s time to put your device in DFU mode.
This is required for jailbreaking.



Greenpois0n will also explain how to put your device in DFU mode.
When you start Greenpois0n, you will see this;



Just click on jailbreak. Greenpois0n will detect if your device is in DFU mode yet.
If not, it will give you instructions on how to do this. Now the jailbreak will start.
After it has been succesfully jailbroken, you will have one new application on your device.
“Loader” is the new application. Open it so you can install Cydia.



After you’ve installed Cydia, your device is ready for tweaking, theming etc.

When did you jailbreak your device? It was a server problem, like 3-4 weeks ago.
I suggest you to make a back-up, restore and jailbreak again.
I've jailbroken over 150 devices without any problems

i have the itouch 2gen 4.2.1
idk what the problem was...im tryin to do it wit redsn0w but the program cant recognize the firmware?!? idk

Best thing you can do is restore to the official 4.2.1 firmware.
After the restore has been finished, jailbreak again with Greenpois0n.

Jailbreakme does not work with iOS 4.2.1

 

All of my friends who have jail broken their Apple products have older iPods, iPhones, etc.

In the case you do update over their compatible firmware, go with the method outlined here or downgrade your firmware.
