Old stuff is good, their new stuff Ill pass on.

 

Like their old music, newer songs i cant get my head around.

 

Saw them a few months ago in Orlando and were amazing.

 

I saw them awhile ago, they were fucking amazing.

I like bits from each albums. Def check out The Poison if you haven't though. Overall their best album.

 

I used to listen to them back when I was younger... good band

 

BFMV are amaaaaaaaaazing i love the singers voice, the general sound of the band, they're just epic i love their new and old stuff tbh

 

Really... Some people call themselves metalheads, but when I hear someone talk about Metal they always mention the same bands... BMFV, Slipknot, Metallica, A7X, etc...

What happened to the real metal? Manowar, Kreator, Sodom, Destruction, Violent Force, bands like that... many of those still exist and I go see them in concert, and it's WAY better, not just a little better, I say WAY better to see those live. And I've seen Slipknot and Metallica live.

And these new "core" and "brutal" genres... wtf? No comments about that.

Thing is, if you are metalheads, you gotta search and listen to ALBUMS, not songs. And it's very important (and better) to know the old school.

On topic now, Bullet for my Valentine is a band that, in my oppinion, is evolving. The first album sucked IMO, but since Scream Aim Fire, it's been good.

Oh, by the way, this post is not meant to bash anyone or anything, it's just to educate.

Sorry man but I'm going to have to disagree with you there.

I love a lot of new bands including bullet, escape the fate etc. etc. I know a lot of people who prefer old school rock/metal/whatever you want to call it, think that new bands suck, however I can't help but feel you are trying to hard to live in the past. Sure, I love bands like Iron Maiden and Pantera, but that song you linked just isn't my kind of thing. Far too slow, I get pretty bored. I prefer more fast-paced, and some 'screamo' doesn't hurt too.

Although I do agree with you regarding the album thing, I dislike it when people say they love a band, when they have only heard 2 or 3 songs by them. I download at least 2-3 albums by a particular band before I form a solid opinion.

 

Agree with 2/3 of your post (the album part), but that's a Manowar ballad, other songs are faster
