I just wanted to add be a few things. You can sell your 30m gold for $30.00 easily, but sell it to the wrong person and you just gave away 30m. Sad to say but it's true chargebacks suck. Only accept bank funded paypals that have balance in them, have them upload proof to tinypic or imageshack for you to verify.
Also make a folder on your computer for sythe screenshots and screenshot every single step of every trade. Chat logs don't count as proof if scammed, and prefer people go first to you or use a MM - OMM.

    Honestly. Be legit.

Vouches do mean something. You can look at them, as if they were bitches. If you get quality bitches, you're a player, if you get nasty hoes, you're a slut. People still look up to you for sleeping around, but one has more respect. Same thing with vouches. If you get 10 quality vouches, of $500 trades, sometimes them going first, then you've been trusted with over $500 worth of goods, so you have a better chance with smaller trades. If 100 people let you do tutorial island for them, you were trusted with an account that was probably made 7 seconds ago.

Also, post count matters, reffer to what plznate said, but also to add, it's not something that should be trusted as much as quality vouches.

Also, if you act like an idiot, people are going to assume you are one, so they may be cautious etc, because 12 year olds think I R GONNA GET AWAY WIT DIS ROFL I R EPIC FOR $5!!!!!, and older people tend to think, This is another vouch , this is another good trade, or yay I finally sold my goods/bought my goods at my asking price :)

Also , Never turn down an OMM, that literally makes you look like a scammer.

Try not to turn down playerauctions as well if people ask you to pay via that, if you're using paypal. As they get the fees, you still pay the same ammount, and you can't chargeback.

The above two apply to you if you're a seller as well, they help you sell, and if the buyer is down, and you think you can get him to split fee/pay for them, USE IT ! It's like using a condom with a hooker, you don't trust her or where she's been, so you might as well pay a tiny bit extra, to ensure safety :)

That's just my advice to someone new :)

Activity is key. Also starting small like in the user services might help. Or going first to trusted users (in small amounts) can be effective. Also you could try using an OMM until your trust and vouch count is up.

    Becoming a trusted seller?

Personally, gaining trust is not so much an issue. Its all dependant on yourself. I mean, the larger quantity of products you sell; regardless if going first or not - it will increase your total amount sold and more so adhere in proving your legitimacy.

E.g. Player A has 100 vouches, and has transacted around $200.

E.g Player B has 5 vouches, each consisting of $500+ Trades, totaling over $2000.

^This in my books is what proves legitimacy to me. Having a bountiful of vouches that has no purpose to the field you are interested in has no point.

I would prefer to trade with someone with $400 worth of vouches under the Runescape Gold Market, rather than someone with $1k worth vouches from the Botting/Account leveling section, IMO.

    Its all opinionated.

    Becoming a trusted seller?

Well to be seen as trusted, it takes a process. A good way to start is to buy/sell to very very trusted members (you will have to go first) and gain some vouches. Once you do that, a good thing to do is either go back to one of those people who vouched for you, or find someone around your status and start gaining some vouches of the other person going first to you so that you can show you aren't scamming/attempting to scam.

Other than that, even some of the most trusted users turn bad. It's just something that seems to be unavoidable for some people, where the crave for money just takes over. Just be a good and honest person and you will be trusted.

    Thats all i can say.

    Becoming a trusted seller?

It's really tough to really become trusted as anyone could break one point in time whether they had a good reputation or not. Sythe is an infamous place known for scammers but it doesn't mean everyone is negative and only care for themselves. The real test would probably be like buying a car on here or 100 crackers or something lol then you know for sure they are trusted.

Just keep doing what is right and show respect with others. Using a middleman also shows you want to trade and not have any problems. You don't have to request a middleman if you don't feel the need to but I believe it shows you can trust others and want to be a member of sythe. It also takes time as well it's not like a one day or month solution.

    Becoming a trusted seller?

For me I had to go first in few trades and get some vouches, to get atleast some trust. Also, high post count won't hurt.
