Why should I be a user educator?

I think I would make a good addition to Sythe's User Educator team. I'm a very active Sythe member, and like to help anyone with anything I can, if I myself am not able to help them I try my best to direct them towards someone, or somewhere that can. Since Finn announced the Re-haul of the User Education section I figured it would be a great time to get in there and help things get rolling. I do consider myself a rather mature, and intelligent person, however as everyone else I have my fun side. Since I'm not a big trader, I figured this would be a great way to get involved in the community that I've spent so much time on. I enjoy helping others, it brings me a sense of satisfaction knowing I was able to solve someone else's problem.

    Submitted Guides
    1. How to make your avatar A working .GIF
    2. An introduction to Camtasia

Quotes of me helping the community

I Meeder1, claim that the guides I have included in my application are completely my own work. They were made using my own knowledge and I have not plagiarized another person's work. I accept that if my guides are found to be plagiarized, even partially, I will be forumbanned from User Education indefinitely.

Wow, your application looks great, really nice banner and font.
Your guides are very good too (would suggest to add some colourful text, to resize the pictures, to center the text where needed).
Moreover, your guides are not very long, so I would suggest you, to create an extra guide which would not be short and would look good.
If you are ready to be active in the UE section and if you will follow my suggestions, then you have my support :)

Just two small errors. For whatever reason you capitalized the "a" twice. Nothing massive, but still ;D

You're an awesome guy, and I'm glad you decided to apply. Good luck!

I prefer not to make guides any longer than they should be, I like to get the point across fast and simply, while providing enough information for if a problem should occur ( IE: All the little pictures explaining what buttons I'm talking about in my Camtasia guide ).

Also, i got your PM. Thanks :)

    Thanks :) I'll fix that.

I've received your PM and reviewed your guides. I knew both of these, but I can only honestly say they are topics that will appeal to many people.

The guides themselves are pretty well done. The Camtasia guide is more detailed than the .gif guide, so I would work on putting maybe any detail possible if you have any more, in the .gif guide. If you don't have any, that's fine because it's still pretty well written with some nice pictures and such. The things I suggest though, is that you tidy up your guides a little more and make them easier to read on the readers eye. Space it out evenly, center, emphasize your characters etc.

You seem like a nice, intelligent user. I would also suggest you help out as much as you can not only in the User Education section, but the whole forum.

Thanks for that, I went back to one of the guides and changed a little bit of it.

Meeder, I say to resize the pictures in your guide, because they are too big.

If you want to be accepted, you need to follow the suggestions and resize the banner a bit.

None of the pictures are too big, i don't have to scroll over for any of them. No one else has said they're too big either.

On my 19" monitor they dont even take up half the screen, I'm sure not everybody has a 19" monitor, but more people have big monitors compared too little monitors that would have to scroll over ( Mostly laptops ). And, majority wins of course.

My monitor is really big, but one icon goes to the next row.

Were you 100% sure about that decision? You only made the application yesterday and you only have two guides. I realize that the requirement is only two guides but I recommend everyone to make one or two more guides to show your enthusiasm into becoming a UE and to help others.

You do realise you can always apply again.

Even if you get denied 3 times in a row, you can apply a month later. Im simply helping to get the ball rolling on the rehaul of this section.

Yes, I know. Why don't you just make the best out of your first application and just be a little more patient? I'm sure that would pay off.
