I was curious to see if anyone else received this email, because I just noticed it was fake. The link actually lead to;

And phished an account I literally JUST purchased earlier in the day. I'm curious to see how many people have gotten this email, and if you have, BE WARNED.

Learn from my mistake, always check the URL bar.

 

It's a phishing email. They are very common among users on sites like these. Jagex doesn't contact you via email unless it's news, account recovery, or personal.

 

You're the odd one out who fell for this lately I'm afraid.....

Hurr durr. I'm not an idiot, I knew it was a phishing email, but they got me at a bad time, where my mind slipped. Unfortunate enough for me. Little late for the warnings though, so spare me those, please.

You have no idea what you're talking about. I didn't download anything, I clicked a link.

 

Definitely a phishing email. Things like this happen from having a public MSN on your forum account.

 

Its a phsing email never even read it.

oh shit, i got one of those, and i clicked the link and my acc actually had a ban which was falsely justified? i dont think i got hacked tho?

Many people got theses emails its a way they spread. Just avoid those emails.

 

Change your password immediately. That was part of of the "phish"

Never use a sythe email for a runescape account. Then you will allways know that when you recieve these emails, they are fake. Whenever you post your email on a site/forum like this; you will be a target of someone so be careful.

Yeah it's the most recent phishing subject. Quite a good one actually, I almost fell for it myself.

 

I get about 10 every day, don't worry.
