PhotonVPS, AutoSorcGarden less than 10% Success?

Ok so first I had 6 bots running, all going smoothly (over 80 percent) except the two bots running in Autum garden (2 autum, 3 spring, 1 summer) were not doing too hot (50 & 60%). They were still getting about 20k exp/hr so I figured whatever.

I then started a 7th bot and the VPS started to get a little more laggy (PhotonVPS XEN Warp 4, supposedly runs 8 of these). I decided to turn all the bots off and then on to see if that made a difference.

Well, it did. The (now 5) bots in the Autum garden all went sub 10% success rate.

I watched them and it was like they would literally run when the elemental was right there.

    Any ideas?

Turn all the setting to the RIGHT, meaning it looks like it's lagging but it's not actually making your character move slower at all, this should decrease the amount of RAM or so that each bot uses.

Edit your run-RAM1000MB file and change the line where it says Xmx1000m to Xmx372m. Then save it, and run the bot again (open the client). It should help speed things up, also put all your settings to the left. Even though you think it should run 8, 8 is really pushing it. If you want consistency I'd stick with 6, or 7 at the most.

It's not the RAM that restricts how many bots you can run, people run out of processing power long before they run out of RAM.

^ Edit the InstallMac/Linux or edit the Runlinux.sh or whatever. I believe I already edited the Run to xmx472.

You could try it on 372 if you wanted to, it definitely won't hurt anything. I'd just close everything out, reboot your VPS, then run the client again. Mind if I ask how many bots per client you're running? I'd stick to 2 bots per client as I've had the best performance with that.

NOTE: Every time you install a new version of the client, you're going to have to reedit the file back to 372.

I got with 1 bot per client. I only have 1 auth code so yeah...Also, I'm only running 7 bots atm.

Rebooting my VPS wouldn't delete anything would it?

    Also, 372>472 for sure?

Rebooting your vps won't delete anything. It's basically like restarting your computer except its your vps.

And I don't know why the person above said put all your settings to the right.. I think he meant to the left (global settings.)

I'm actually having the same problem with you except i'm just running 2 bots on a warp 3. So when you figure it out tell me XD

There's not much of a difference, but if there is one, 372 > 472. It's not going to hurt you in any way. Secondly, I'd recommend buying another auth code so you can run 2 bots per client. Running 4 clients with 2 bots each uses less resources than 8 clients with 1 bot each.

    Exactly.

Ok, but wouldn't I need 4 auth codes for 4 clients 2 bots? Or when would I select a different auth code?

And I will go ahead and change it to 372. Also, I'm not sure if it's a lagging problem, the account that I have over at the summer garden tends to run pretty efficiently (85-95%). It just sometimes I will watch them and they'll make very very very dumb mistakes that just leaves me at my computer like *FACEPALM*

I too have issues with fruit picking in the autumn garden. I never get above 70% success there.

But herbs in the summer garden I always get above 85% so I have no idea why fruits are so bad.

Also, why are people saying global settings to the left? I've heard for a long time that putting them to the right = less resource usage.

Wait so left or right? I've watched the autumn garden bots for a while and they're just a fraction of a second too slow. Currently they're all about 20%.

You only need 2 auth codes, because you're only going to be running 2 bots per client. You can open up as many clients as you want regardless of auth codes (even though they say you shouldn't, they don't do anything/can't tell). So if you have 2 auths, you can open 2 bots per client, so 4 clients with 2 bots each will give you the best performance.

    LEFT, always remember LEFT.

    LEFT.

    LEFT.

If you have the to the left, put them all to the right. Then see if it improves.

I run all my bots with settings to the right, and I get above 65% success picking fruits and above 85% picking herbs.

    I have Warp 3, running 4 bots.

Why are you saying left? If you want to lower your computers resources then put them to the right. Putting them to the right will drastically decrease the CPU usage which should allow you to run more bots. Also Make sure that your rs character in game has his settings to "very low" in game.

More clients= more ram usage I believe.
Turn all globals to the RIGHT. it just delays the messages sent to you. Also try turning off paint.

Add in a few free auths and you'll be able to bot 2 sorc gardens on 1 client with 1 sorcgarden auth.

Alright I moved them all to the right. I'll check in in like an hour or so.

I would turn off paint but then I couldn't see how they're doing.

Would it run smoother if I wasn't viewing the server using VNCServer?

Are you running them in low-ping worlds? Maybe that could be the problem?
