    Re: Earthquake in Japan... 2012?

Now, this is a response to the thread below, "Earthquake in Japan, end of the world?".

I had posted my opinion on the thread, that Earthquakes happen all the time and went into more detail about the end of the world etc.

But it's weird, I've just seen something that caught my eye.

One of the posters quoted Nostradamus and his predictions on 9/11. Here it is.

Nostradamus predicted 9/11. And he also predicted 2012. The Japan Earthquake happened on March 10th, 2011. Like I said before I usually don't believe in this stuff, but look at this brief statement below and tell me what you think.

    9/11/01 + 3/10/11 = 12/21/12.

Now is that weird, that after 11 years, this could happen on any day, and it happened on March 10th, or is it just me?

It happened on the 11th of March, not 10th.

Besides, to explain lots of history to you is pointless but these numbers have NO significance if you understand the whole system of the Gregorian calendar is man-made and starts on the supposed Anno Domini.

Nostradamus made 100s of predictions that never came to fruition within the time period specified, others were not given real specifics so any event could've fallen into what he 'predicted'. e.g. "I predict a bad calamity on the Russians that'll tear them apart." Does that really tell you anything?

I don't care. I'll take the cards on what he did predict. If you could predict something that would happen several hundreds of years in the future, and get the EXACT date on when it happened, on more than one occasion, That's truly something else.

And no, It happened on March 10th. It only happened on March 11th in countries on the Eastern side of the planet. For the majority of the countries, it was on the 10th.

See, you're defying LOGIC for beliefs.

Considering it happened in an EASTERN country, it IS March 11th. Also, he didn't predict the exact date of the earthquake ... you're merely playing with numbers.

From Wikipedia: "...occurred at 14:46 JST (05:46 UTC) on 11 March 2011"

That's 5:46 UTC, which is 1:47 a.m. here in Ontario, Canada; one of the westernmost timezones - only 6 of 24 timezones were in March 10th.
