Ok, I'll give you a bit of hard advice.

People will always judge you, the sooner you learn that honestly the better.
If anyone asks you why your buying it simply say as a birthday present if you really are that embarrassed. No one will laugh at you out loud, at most they'll internalize it. AND even if they did laugh at you, you do not know them, and never will.
It's one thing to condemn yourself for an opinion made by your friend, it's quite another to condemn yourself for an opinion made not just by a total stranger, but by a stranger you'll never see again.

Just go in and buy it, what people think of you isn't as important as to what you think of yourself.

Bro first off you shouldnt care about what other people think about you. If they judge you wrongfully it's because their jealous of you. Numero 2 Pokemon is black/white is played by mostly 18 yr old + lol so dont worry about it.

I know enough older people that play the game to.
It's just fun if u are bored.
So don't think how people think about you, but just enjoy the game.

Also, dungeons and dragons for the win, RuneScape is awesome, my girlfriend is hot, and my friends all play with me. The reason I say all this is because people will always judge you. Finding people who will judge you in a way that boosts your self esteem is much more beneficial than listening to the assholes who will call you a nerd or a geek.

Go to the store and buy it. Be yourself, don't worry about what people think. If someone looked you for the fake features that you display, then they don't really like you.

 

Dude I'm 17, I went into Game with my girlfriend and I bought a copy. I'm not a nerd, I'm sport and very fit, dude it's the fucking shit. Seriously, get it. If you're really worried just ask your parents.

Who cares what people thinks. Be yourself, that's something that many people don't do. Me myself, I use to play pokemon and as I grew older, it got boring and childish to me but that is how I feel now. On the other hand, my younger brother plays and he wants the new pokemon game, so I am planning on going to whatever gaming store and getting him a copy. There is nothing to be afraid about. People may consider it as if you were buying it as a gift for someone.

 

It's pokemon, not nappies.

If I could be asked to play it, I wouldn't be ashammed. It's your life, not theirs. Go catch em all!

 

Do what you want. Nobody ever took me as someone who liked doing anything other then working out, getting huge, and farting a lot. But I do love chess, and joined my school's chess club, nobody cares, people accepted it, they question me about it, I tell them I joined because I like chess, and it's just a game that can be played by anyone. They can laugh behind my back, but i'm doing what I like, and people's opinions should never stop someone from that. If you're too scared to go into the shop, and nothing will change that, then get someone else to buy it, or order it offline, you'll probably get a better deal anyways.

 

Get the game. Don't feel so self-conscious. Who cares who judges you, anyway. You find it fun = You play it.

 

Dude i'm turning 18 in like 2 weeks, and i play this Pokemon white game in front of people all the time. Of course people will judge you, but it's up to you if you care or not. If you want to play it, play it! Age is just a number.

 

You have to stop caring what people think bud, I'm currently on a civil engineering course and as you would think it's all man men (if you get what that means) I'm 18 and I don't give a shoot what they think.
If you are playing it and someone laughs or something just say "what? this game is awesome!" Something on the lines of that anyway.

But seriously, if you give excuses like its for your brother or something, your basically telling others that you are embarassed of your true self, which is definitely no good.

Just do what you want. Yes you will get judged by people. Majority of them who judge you by this are actually just people who are not important to you at all , so who cares.
