We haven't got a big army, but or army is well trained.
Also we are a rich country. And a country with much knowledge about almost anything.

 

You're right that I'm getting my words mixed up. I don't know how to say what I mean. Their government's have physical power in the form of weapons and man power, but the people on that list have more influence and authority. Money is power, and those people have it.

 

I agree with the list bit there should also be Germany. And power is not all about military strength, its also about resources.

 

They control (almost monopolize) key resources and have massive military power. It may be slightly declining but it's baseline keeps them where they are.

While this may be true, at the end of the day the US has the biggest, most effective arsenal of weapons and defense. They also have one of the biggest armies AND highly trained special forces.

That means nothing if they have people ready to loan/give them money as mercenaries.

They already have it and have the most advanced technology (well as far as the general public knows).

Except most are smart enough not to split their money storage...


...and if it's a considerable amount and a desperate time; threatening them should do the trick.

It is definitely USA and not China and i am going to tell you why

Reason 1. Allies - The US has the strongest ally network of any other country in the world, permitting them a much larger sphere of influence
than China. Not to mention how that would play out in the event of a war

Reason 2. military - America has far outpaced every other country in military
technology. Mainly because we partition such a large percent of government funds towards the military, its something like 40% of our money. Im not sure if you guys are aware of the potential of the U.S. military. We have nuclear subs, aircraft carriers, f21 fighter jets and a large stockpile of nukes that no country would be able to match up against if utilized correctly. Not to mention we have the most well trained military in the world.
Lastly the military is one of the mains ways our country
gains influence around the world

3- China is industrializing too fast- China recently has had a large shift
in their population, that being a huge influx of lower class citizens into the middle class. "Hey but that is a good thing!" ----Not quite
A larger and wealthier middle class for china means more consumption per capita, thus more resources are going to be depleted. The root of this is how fast china is industrializing. Within the next 50 years at projected rates they simply wont be able to sustain such a large population of high consumers. THey will essentially collapse under their own weight unless something is done.

What china has on the USA is a 2 billion population and large market that
is vital to our economy but this doesnt not make them more powerful than the USA. As for the trillion dollar debt? Im sure your not aware but debts between countries dont work like debts between the bank and some1
with a loan. The United States will probably never pay off a significant amount
of the debt and china having this on the USA doesnt really give them
that much leverage

There is also the fact that China's economy is almost entirely dependent on the U.S. They sell almost all their goods to us so we could theoretically ban all imports from China and their economy would collapse on itself.

 

They'd buy elsewhere.
America is in so much debt, it couldn't afford to stop exporting to China.

 

China will soon be the most powerful country they have money and their economy is booming
