In this economy, I am sure that plan would go fantastically.

In reality, he probably doesn't have that much hard cash in his bank. Runescape solely makes their money off memberships with an occasional advertisement. They also have to pay every employee of Jagex with that money. Similar to Mark Zuckerburg, who owns a website worth over 20 billion, he doesn't actually have anywhere 20 billion dollars. I am sure he is a very well off guy, but he won't have anywhere close to 100 million dollars until he physically sells the game.
