    ***This is all an example***
If I MM a trade, and I do the recovery test on my computer.
And it gets recovered (AFTER THE TRADE HAS BEEN DONE)
I should be held semi-responsible for it.
As I have the account information and could recover it.

    You should be.

If you want to do a recovery test, do it via TV on the account sellers computer(Watch him put in the correct info, or you type it yourself on his computer)

I have noticed some account trades, with a MM, doing recovery test, and it getting recovered later. And the mm is not to blame, it's always the seller. Which is false a accusation.

100% guarantee that no OMM will ever help with an account trade ever again if something like this were ever considered.

Account trading always will be dangerous.

Meh, I have bought accounts and they all got recovered even with recovery test and Market mods as MM and the like. People will scam no matter what. MM accounts is risky business and the buyer should be well aware that it can and will be recovered at any point even with recovery. But 90% of market sellers of account are new comers looking for quick cash and recover back.

If you're typing it yourself, and want to scam... then why not just write it down as you're entering it?

Not really changing the system at all.

I don't even bother to do recovery tests, I have the 2 people who are trading, exchange the information (once I got the $/gp)

Once the buyer puts in the infor for recovery, he gives us the tracking.
    If it's accepted, I give the $/gp.

More then agreed. Now that you bring this up I realize I never thought about this.. The seller can take all the troubles the MM/OMM caused. And your right, yes it should be done and recorded via Teamviewer.

I make them send account info to me via pm and delete it afterwards there is no reason why we should keep the info.

The orginal owner should be given a 1 week timeframe to recover the account if its stolen if not they should be given a twc or a ban.

Traders should keep in mind the potential for an MM to scam even after completing the trade, but the best protection against that scenario is to hold onto the seller's MSN address (so he can help the buyer if the account is recovered by a third party), and to always screenshot the IP address when you first log in after you recover a stolen account. If you suspect the MM is responsible for the theft, ask a staff member to check the IP's.

But, there's no way to expect an MM to assume responsibility for all account trades they do; there's nothing they can do to prevent sellers from recovering accounts, even if they do absolutely everything to the best of their ability.

If they were half intelligent, they would simply use a proxy when they logged in, so they couldn't be traced.

As to the suggestion itself, while it is a valid point that MMs and OMMs alike could easily recover the accounts themselves, that's a risk you're going to have to take when trading. Secondly, even if the MM or OMM recovered it back, then what? They couldn't exactly try to sell off the account, unless they did it privately.

In the end, I'm sure this does happen occasionally, but no one ever knows and there's never any proof of it. The numbers, however, are on your side, because MMs and OMMs don't have too much incentive to recover an empty account, especially when it'll most likely just be recovered back by someone else later on.
