Edit: As for globals to the right or left, Personally I turn mine to the right. This does nothing but delay the information sent to and from I believe, and does wonders on lowering resources usage.

I lost 26 hours because they ran out of stock, I submitted a ticket and they adjusted my invoice accordingly. I don't worry about uptime I have had 99.9% with them so far.

Yes. Definitely no doubt, you will also have resources to spare to run more bots. I am guessing 5GB of that would be 10 sorc bots. and the rest you can run 3 SW bots if you wanted. or 6 more sorc bots. But of coarse that's when optimally ran.

Also, if there is a provider or package that gives you 6GB with swap space, that would be best for your plans for 10 bots. unless you have the auths/accounts to make use of the spare space.

 

You mean get 6GB instead of 8GB ? so im not wasting any free space ?

 

If you plan on using only those 10 bots I would suggest 6GB. If you want 2 GB or so to play with after your bots are up get the 8GB, you would be able to run a couple more bots like rc bots or fighter bots for example. There are more bots than sorc for farming gold. Also if you get the 8GB you have more room to expand, where as 6GB you can add 1-2 more bots more but then you have to upgrade.

 

Why don't you just get 2 Warp 4's? With coupon code "tenoff" the warp 4's cost almost $75. Which would be 150 for both, compared to the 170 for that one.

Warp 4's are 4GB, so getting 2 of them would give you the same amount of RAM.

Unless I'm missing something.

Also- Does anyone know if Photon answers tickets on the weekend? I haven't gotten a reply all day, which is not like them. Wish they would hurry up so I can upgrade -.-

hey guys for photonvps the largest package they have i know i will have the ram to run 8 SG bots but will i have the bandwidth to run them 24/7? or are there restrictions on how much bandwidth i can use up.

 

When I open "install-mac-linux.sh" with mousepad I have "-Xmx100" in there.

When I open "run-linux.sh" with mousepad I have "-Xmx472m" in there.

Are these the correct numbers? All my global settings are to the left and I am using fixed mode.

I got to the point where you change the install-mac-linux thing to be allowed to run as a program, but I can't find this option?

 

will someone please help me? click on runlinux.sh or whatever and i get to the "News and Auth Panel" but once i click an auth and start it it loads the bot (With the picture of that little guy holding a pickaxe) and then once it gets done loading it never opens up the client. anyone know why this is happening?

 

Sometimes you just have to wait. Just leave it up on your VPS and come back in 10 or so minutes. If that doesn't work make sure you edited the Xmx's with the mousepad.

At first I had what you did and everything was running horrible. Then I edited it to Xmx372m, and put all the globals to the right and they (7 sorc garden bots on an XEM Warp 4) seem to be running much much better.

I believe the thing that says "is executable" is basically the same thing. I'm not extremely computer saavy but executable means .exe which is what programs are written as.

This is a step that you can skip over and if it doesn't work then just ask someone else.

More than enough bandwidth. They overstock you for that reason.

Turn them to the right, you have a vps running multiple bots not a desktop computer being babysat.

It's already executable.
