Isnt dedicated server better than vps?

This config would cost me 100$ per month, its only 20$ more than Photon warp4, but looks much better. Why so many ppl are using vps instead?

 

Yes, they're better. But they're usually more expensive, hence why people use VPS.

 

Ofcourse u share a vps with other people.
If u buy a dedi server u don't share with anybody.
So u can take more bots up.

Be careful with dedicated server prices. In the hosting industry, you get what you pay for. If you pay an incredibly low amount for an incredibly good-looking server, you tend to get screwed over in the end by bad hardware, bad support, etc.

Basic logical rule of thumb - It is impossible to offer things for lower than you buy to supply them. If your hardware costs $200 normally, and you get it for $50, then there's something fundamentally wrong there. I would suggest you do a little more research with whatever company this is before you decide to go with them.

 

I still can't figure out why you don't just buy a comp to remove hire cost.

 

^ Many people don't want to invest $800 into their farming business because at any point in time JaGex could decide to change their recent leinency toward botting. If they do, your out $800 with a shiny new desktop.

 

With dedicated servers, you don't have to worry about server maintenance, internet/power costs, bandwidth usage, etc.

 

$100 a month? Chances are you'd be getting a piece of shit. That's very unusually low for a dedicated server, especially one with those specs.
