How Long For The Name Change Icon To Disappear?

Hey guys, im wondering if anyone knows how long it will take for my 'name change icon' to disappear.
by name change icon i mean the symbol next to my name when im added in someones friends list.

ive only changed my name once, but my login is an email address. also im going f2p so will it show in f2p?

I do believe it will always show it. Example, my account with my first and middle name. Login name is FredLevi. My account was reset and my username was #234234636, some odd numbers. I renamed my account to my login name, and it still has the name changed logo and the #2342336.

I don't think it goes away.

 

I think it's 2months or 60days? @ PK. Im pretty sure it does go away. My old account had a name change about a year ago. Theres nothing to show it's previous anymore.

cause i know with a normal name login it takes ages if youve only changed your name once, but cause mine is an email im not sure if ill get rid of the icon in a month... does anyone have a first hand experience at how long it took on their email login acc?

I seem to remember when my second account switched names my first lost the image after about a month but it could have been 2. I would say around 1-2 months.

 

It's one month. 100% sure.

untill someone takes your old name, or after 28 days.

 

I'm pretty sure it's when someone takes your previous name.

 

its actually based on play time I switched two accounts names same day one lost the name change after 2 months of playing the other just sat there (logged off) the icon is still there

 

on my account it stopped appearing within 2 months, not sure of the actual amount of time though

Mine disappeared after few months, i'm not sure about number, but it was like 2-3 months + (i changed nick 2 days after update)

 

It's because it only goes away when the previous name becomes available. (yes! available, that means no1 has to take the old name. it only has to be available.)

So if you had your name changed in random numbers, or only added some capitals it will never leave.


edit: to fix this you can change your name to something diffrent, and 30 days later change it back.
