To see how the American public will respond to widespread chaos.
To allocate billions in war funding that can be used for anything.
To pick out those that support their country and those that don't so that when plans are enacted for moving towards a one world government, They will know who the resisters are.
Place the blame for any disaster that happens from then on out in the hands of terrorists, instead of the american government.
A reason to have FEMA and all the bullshit that comes with that. (camps, giving them full control in time of disaster, and the reorganization of the states)

My dad's an engineer and had been to the world trade center multiple times. He said that the buildings were specifically built that way; if they weren't, the damage would've been a lot worse.
