    Hockey injury

    Look at this

Thank you Tiemen for the english version :)

Sorry for my language here but...
Zdeno Chara, you're a son of a bitch. I went to the game yesterday and I was near the place Max Pacioretty was hit. Chara extended his arm to push him into the glass. What a fucking prick and he's not even suspended.

    Discuss.

EDIT: They are maybe going to make criminal charges against Chara.

It wasn't intentional at all, the NHL made a great call by not suspending him at all.

I saw the slow motion of the hit, I can't say it was intentional. It was a pretty badass hit that could've left Max paralyzed. He got really lucky, he was inches away from his ending of his hockey career.

I disagree with that, even though it wasn't intent to injure, Chara still made the play and should be responsible for their actions. I think the league made a mistake in not suspending Chara. For biased Bruins fans, look back to last year when Savard was cheap-shotted and no suspension for Cooke. I think a new rule should be put in place to make players responsible for their actions on the ice and suspensions should be given based on the extent of the inury of the defenseless opponent.

Why the hell would you suspend someone based on injuries sustained? A clean check can result in paralysis while a viciously-intended one could leave little more than a dented ego and slight balance shift.

They should be based on their intentions as determined from the footage. IMHO the play looks clean and unintentional, obviously he was trying to push him out of the way and against the boards, not headfirst into the edge of it.

If you look at the video carefully, you can see that Chara put his arms around Pacioretty and pushes him. I think he wanted to venge the little push Max gave him on the OT winner he scored the 8 Jan 2011

Nobody tries that on purpose. Chara wasn't even looking up when he was pushing him. I see guys get a ride across the bench all the time. Chara was doing the same and it ended the wrong way.

No suspension was a good call.

He's a giant. It was not intentional and Chara expressed his feelings this way after the game. He smashed his head first on the glass / turnbuckle when he got a little push by a 260+ pound 6'9" guy. What do you want?

Clearly wasn't intentional. Chara isn't that type of player.

when i watched the slow motion reply, looks like he pushed off him really hard. Maybe he didn't intend to injure him but thae hit WAS intentional.

Also if it was not intentional he would have stopped to see if the guy was okay, not go on to run his mouth to his team mates...

Although I think that the NHL should have suspended him for a while, I think that the presence of criminal charges are absurd. The only reason there was any mention of a criminal investigation whatsoever is because Air Canada, the damn sponsor of the Habs, told the cops that should investigate. Whether or not he meant to do it, and regardless of his reputation, that was a dirty hit and I think Chara should have been suspended for a while by the NHL.

I don't think that it was an intentional hit, but he should of been suspened. That is why criminal charges are being looked into, because the NHL does a terrible job at policing itself. Had he been suspended right away the cops wouldn't need to step in.
