    Should I continue?

Alright so I just got scammed AGAIN.. Lost like 15 dollars and I'm actually broke at the moment so this money was really really important to me.

I was selling mils in Runescape market section and this guy who joined in 2008, Somehow decided to scam me for 11mils..

I just don't get it.. He's been here for 3 years and done trades over 15 mils, Why scam me? :(

I'm really sad right now because I invested alot of time and effort. Should I just give up this whole "making money from Runescape thing"? or keep trying?

Nah, don't give up. Just be more careful with your trades.

I was stupid enough to put mytrust in a guy overa period oftime, andended up losing $350.

    Again, trade careful.

I wouldnt give up if I was you, sythe is such a lovely site ^^

Be extremely careful with your trades to minimalize scams, but still, anyone here who has traded a few times has been scammed.

I myself have never been scammed 'in the face' because i started off as a paranoia and was EXTREMELY careful when trading (looking at vouches, asking PMs to verify, saying that i was vidding when i wasnt and that kind of stuff). The only way I've lost cash is by paypal chargebacks, but its pretty impossible to avoid them when dealing over paypal (unless u pay the PA fees, which I am doing now).

I'm sure you can recover from that 15$ :)

    Goodluck getting back on track

If you need to, just take a break from trading for a while. Just be apart of the community. You'll eventually start to pick up on who's generally an honest person, and who has some sketchy attributes.

I had very similar problems when I first joined Sythe too. It gets better, trust me.

Don't get discouraged. After all it's only $15. I agree with being a part of the community first rather then rushing into trades, especially ones that seem too easy or too good to be true. Try using OMM's or MM's during trades but even then be careful whom your choosing. Take as many precautions as you want, a legit trader will not rush you and understand every precaution you take. Good luck on future trades.

The most trusted people can even scam, it seems your new here, you should continue, but before you do, learn how to not get scammed, there are so many scammers.

I always tend to search their MSN on google to see if they've scammed, and checked the thread and "Report A Scammer" forum. And also check if they have quality vouches or not. Also checking their thread, if you don't see one positive feedback from a person (that has more than 100 posts) then don't trust them.

This is great advice, I have taken a break from trading (small trades every now and then) and I've started talking to a few people and I can tell who the sketchy people are by talkin to them. It's also a good way for the community to get to know you. :)

To be honest, probably 90% of Sythe is purely scammers. After being scammed over $1500 I decided to quit with RuneScape and trading altogether. Now I help in the PSA forum and I love it! You might do the same!

    Yea, the scammers really suck.

Your best bet would be to sell large amounts to exceptionally trusted people. You won't get as much for the GP, but you definitely won't be scammed.

Great advice by Sanctuary, the community here is surprisingly good and somewhat mature.

Stick around, and don't give up just sidestep for now.

If you don't have complete trust in the person your trading with get a middleman. As your trade was only $15 a free middleman would have been fine.
