    Botting, never truly 24/7?

How do people get 7+ day proggies? Or even 2+ day proggies?

I run a SW bot as much as I can, but it seems like it either shuts down randomly (AutoSoulwarsPro btw), or RS updates, or its just being supper laggy ect and I can rarely get 24+ hours in a row...

How do you guys do this?

I run my bots on a VPS, if it's my luck then rs doesn't update and my bot will not turn off.

Long proggies are just by luck, usually. I got a 4 day AFP proggy somewhere on the computer. Then my computer updated. >:K

^ I hate it when that happens lol...

Why will my bot randomly shut down?

Like I'll check it when I get home from school and it will say shutdown like 5 hours ago, and all the bots will be off, not just like it isn't logged in/making an attempt to.

With soul wars it definetly depends on lag try botting in 143 with less people I have had a 2+ day proggy there. And get lucky for no runescape or comp update

And the stupid thing seems to get kicked pretty regularly...

The lag it gets when it rushes obby is pretty unreal... It literally updates once every 10 seconds.

And its not like I'm botting on an Alienware or anything, but it is a computer which is certainly capable of handling 1-2 bots.

It's all about luck. I've never been able to get a proggy longer than 18 hours.

People use things called VPS ( Virtual Private Server ) Where you can run a bot with your computer off.

My longest proggy was 120 hours before I turned it off to switch it to my old VPS, and then I recently got a 4 day proggy on 4 accounts at the same time :)

VPS crash here and there but they are located in datacenters with power generators so they have backup power in the case of an outage. In addition, these datacenters have high speed internet as well. The only time that my VPS crashed was when I overloaded it with too much bots. Other than that the only time that my bots aren't running is when a RS update hits.

So does anyone have an answer for why ASWP will just shut down?

Everything you've said are factors of why your bots will shut off. Lag can crash you bot and randoms can completely stop your bot. I have personally not encountered lag crashing my bot on my VPS, but the randoms have stopped it. I've also encountered the RS Update this past monday and my bots also shut off.

^ JaGex really doesn't do this anymore.

If you look on the RSbots.net Forums, there are plenty of people with 10 day proggies, 20 day proggies, and 30 day proggies. I'm guessing that these are glitched (as I've seeen some proggies with like 100 days), but they seem pretty legit.

VPS's are really good with running bots because the connection is really constant, I've run sorc for 7 and a half days at max

Yeah, usually not 24/7 - too many variables.
