Bought an account that got locked straight away - seller wont help?

Can I say that this was me being scammed? Can I file a scamming report? What should I do? He gave me all the information I need to recover it, other than the Membership details, this is the one thing I need to get it unlocked... Does anyone know anyway I could find his IP which get me the account back?

All the information is correct, but it always gets denied and says I need the Membership details. I have got MY recoveries and email on it, and I have tried emailing JaGeX :/

There is no question there is no help someone can offer.
Your only option is to do another recovery with the membership details and the only way to get that is to get the seller to help you. Since he doesn't help that's it.

 

If the original owner won't help you unlock the account than file a scam report.

This. You were scammed, even if you fill in all the fields with incorrect information and left membership info blank, I believe it would still tell you that the membership info is needed, when in reality it was just the one field left blank.

Question for you: When you try and log into the account does it say "Account is locked" (something similar), or does it say "Incorrect Password". If the later you were totally scammed.

When an account is locked, Jagex is suspecting the account is being sold/hacked, if you put a few recoveries and attach an email to the account, and know some creation deatails and password you aren't going to get the account back 100%,

You need the IP adress of the person, put that in the box where you can type text in and put you moved in the month when you bought the account.

You can't file in a scam report because he didn't scammed you, this is one of the risks when buying an account.

 

He says he will help me, but is asking for the password to it, and I said we can do it over teamviewer, he said he can't do that. He is online at 12:30 til 5:00AM gmt time and I go to bed before midnight every night or i'll be dead in the morning, and he hasn't been on MSN since we did the trade last Saturday. I sent him a PM last night which he did not reply to, and he has not been on Sythe since the night before.

I've done about 15 lock appeals, and it always says that I need to provide more Subscription Details and for about 4 of them it has said Creation Details, so surely this means all the other details are correct? For creation details they are asking for the Location where the acc was made, and the original IP, I have looked on other forums, and they have said if I gave the original IP, it would get unlocked without a doubt, even if I only had the email and original IP :/

 

If he isn't comfortable releasing his credit card info etc to you (I wouldn't)

Allow him to try the recover the account himself and than give the account back to you. I know it's hella risky, but it's really the only viable solution if he won't tell you his membership details.

 

Who sold you this account?

 

He said that he has always bought pins for the account, so he cannot give me any information because he does not know any, and I would let him, but he is never online :/ check the post just above yours, i posted it about a second before this reply.

2011 join date, seems fishy, next time don't buy from new people, find a trusted seller so you don't go through this hassle.

Did you do a recovery test when you were buying the acc? I mean did you let an Omm do a recovery test

 

You got screwed straight up. The seller is obviously trying to take his account back... and he will get it. Just take this indecent as a lesson never to buy an account from someone who is not completely trustworthy.

It got locked as soon as he gave it to me, I do not think he is trying to get it, because he knows the email that is registered on the account, and I have not got any emails that someone is trying to recover it, the account got locked pretty much just after I did the recovery test, so I don't know.. but okay thanks for the heads up.. I'll start looking for a new account :/
