VPSes for botting - Talk about them here!

Still looking for a VPS to run 2 bots. (SorcGarden and AutoRC). I'd buy from seerhost, but they don't accept PayPal. PhotonVPS is expensive.

 

I get this message when I do:

-bash: vncserver: command not found

(I use the mac terminal)

 

You need to install vncserver

yum -y install vncserver

 

I still get the same error message.

 

repeat all the steps you did to install and setup everything on the VPS. I don't think vncserver is up on your VPS which is why you can't access. Even though all the steps are mostly done if you just follow them anyway you should fix the issue. I've had the same thing happen to me a few times.

 

I just bought the Warp 1 from Photon, is it any good?

 

Which VPS would be best for just 1-2 bots? I'm not looking to spend a ton and PhotonVPS is pretty expensive.

 

I have a warp 2 with them and it runs 2 SG bots so I'd say 1 SG bot for warp 1 since it's half the ram.

Try going to SolusVN panel and just resetting root password. Just re-type it in. This might fix the problem.

Not enough ram to run a large end bot, but a sorc bot runs smoothly.

I run 8 easily on PhotonVPS Xen - Warp 4 plan.

 

Photon VPS is worth the investment. Running 1-2 bots isn't going to do you any good. Take it to the next level and get a warp 3/4 and load up those bots!

I say that, but i'll probably regret it with the amount of sorc garden botters on right now. Nonetheless, I was all in your position awhile back choosing between Seerhost and Photon VPS.

My decision was Photon VPS' Atomic 6 package, and I haven't had any problems. Message me on MSN or PM if you need help setting any VPS from Photon VPS.

How do you add powerbot into seerhost vps?

 

For photonvps.. when I press continue on the "News and Auth Panel" it starts to load but then all of a sudden it closes itself. Yes I have Xen. Why is this?

 

Same for me, just happens random. Try to re-start your bot. That usually works for me!

Okay, I've just installed my PhotonVPS & all, but when I try to run the Linux file it just simply doesn't do a thing.
What do I need to do?

 

I know xen runs bots, openvz does not but I can not confirm the other virtualization platforms.
Xen is best because your RAM is dedicated, much like a dedicated server. It also allows the provider to fine tune alot of goodies in which you benefit. Openvz ram is never the amount advertised due to the model of the memory allocation, and when you hit your limit you will crash. Openvz is very unstable, especially for the way these java programs are designed. Which is one of the many reasons why almost all providers will not allow botting on openvz. Again I can not confirm the other platforms.

No warp 1 is actually a fair price for 1 sorcererbot, considering you will make enough return in one week to pay for the vps, the membership and maybe the auth.

I am not familiar, but I would connect to your vncviewer and go to their website using firefox browser to download. Then unzip it.

I had this problem before I just ran from console with command "sh run-linux.sh" then booted up other clients normally.

Right click it and set it to 367, I understand your on warp 1. Memory allocation and memory usage are different and it will use more then 367 anyways. But it might boot up. Make sure you have installed the right version of the bot client as well. There are many and you need your same kernel size (32 in this case.)
