I'm aware that no one fighter is perfect. I meant I have a perfect skill set. I'm not saying that there isn't someone out there who can beat me, because trust me when I say this, I know that there are plenty.

I mean that I'm well-rounded. In my opinion. I dedicate most all of my time perfecting my technique, rolling, and hitting bags and pads. It isn't exactly a hobby to me. Its a passion, and hopefully a career.

At any rate, I wasn't trying to sound big headed, sorry if I came off that way.

Honestly, I wasn't too suprised by the way Sanchez looked at the end of the fight. He tends to get his face smashed alot lately. I dunno if he should've won, It seemed very close to me. I'm extremely excited for Shogun vs Jones. I see it being a stand up war, and if it does reach the ground i'm interested to see what Jones can really bring to the table. Keeping in mind that Shogun was submitted by Griffin, and Jones seems to have promising chokes, Jones could very easily have the edge there. I know Shogun has an amazing ground game but he seems to be on an aggressive streak, which could leave him open.

    Standing, its anyones game.

On the ground, its really too close to call. I'd give Shogun the edge just because he has more experience.

Any holes in either of the fighters will be exposed though, which is really exciting.

I think Shogun can handle Jone's Muay Thai with ease, considering Shogun's whole life has been Muay Thai and thats what Jone's standup base is.

Shogun's weakness is his TDD which is already exposed, his stand-up honestly has no holes, hes never been in much trouble in his standup ever, not even VS Machida the first time.

Shogun can handle Jones standup. Shogun hasnt fought a fighter as flashy as Jones is though. He throws them spinning shit like nothing. Jones weakness is tdd defence, but he could get caught in a submission, while I doubt it. Jones does have a solid guillotine though.

You mean Shogun? cause Jones has pretty good TDD being a Juco standout.

Shogun hanst fought a fighter as flashy as Jones in MMA, but im 100% sure Shoguns fought some during his Muay Thai career. I still remember Shogun's 360 roundhouse, he was trying to land his foot on the crown of the guy's head lol

Lol looks like Im dumb. I meant shogun yeah, but Jones hasnt really been tested tdd either. Granted Shogun wont be going for them.
All in all I am hyped for this card, and 129 and 130 and 131 and TUF. Very excited, sucks the cards are farther apart.

Well I think that they are both aggressive and come forward.

Jones is super flashy. Probably shouldn't be too big of a problem for Shogun, but Brandon Vera is a muy thai practitioner (though no where even near Shoguns level) and he got absolutely smashed by Jones.

I honestly believe that Jon Jones is the future of the light heavyweight division. Win or lose, He will be back.

Vera got smashed after getting taken down, otherwise standing up Vera was doing fine.

Vera's weakness is his TDD which is uprising since hes a greco-roman wrestling based fighter. I think he inst working on his wrestling enough, and this time around he better learn.
Vera doesn't have much of a ground-game if you think about it, while Shogun's pretty aggressive on the ground.

Also, Vera could have looked for an armbar against jones, but it didnt look like he was trying to do anything. Jones left his big ass arms there and nothing.
On the ground though, one of Jones elbows could end it.
Shogun is more aggresive, and will look to get up instead of just sitting there like Vera did.

Jones was vulnerable to an armbar and i saw it, but Vera just inst working on his ground. Im 100% sure Shogun would have went for them. Yes he'll fight to standup, but he wont give up a submission attempt if needs be.

Thats what I meant. He left his arm open way to easy, maybe he did on purpose to try and bait him, I dont know, but I know if he was fighting Forrest, or a guy with good subs they would go for the armbar i n that situation.

Vera didnt need much baiting, he could have closed the gaurd instead he tried to fight jones in an open guard.
Maybe Jones was thinking about going for it but jone's elbow came too fast. lol

Yeah my bad!, I wonder who they are putting Vera against next now, this is Veras last chance, and damn did he get lucky.
Should he move back to HW? he did better there despite being a bit more lean than other HWs

I honestly think he should fight one of the two lhw fighters that lost at 127, James te Huna or Tom Blackledge. Loser goes home. If he cannot beat one of them, he deserves to get cut imo. He has a lot more talent that both of them, OR he could fight Anthony Perosh, or a big talent in Alexander Gustaffon. Another possiblilty for a muay thai fight would Cyrille Diabate. I would love to see Diabate-Vera.
I dont think he should move back up to hw.

If Vera cant beat those two, it can only mean one thing..............Veras not trying hard enough. I just wished Vera tried harder during the Silva fight. honestly he might as well start flailing like a mad man x.x.

He needs to train his tdd. I dont think he was expecting Silva to do it though.

Barboza by taking Njokouna's left leg home for dinner.

Dude has beautiful TDD, and his leg kicks are as devastating as Alve's.

Hes got good kicks, BUT the other dude was an idiot. he had his hands down low and ran away like an idiot. On the GIF his face was like turning the other way.

Barboza will take it imo, and with Njolouna's left leg for dinner.
